If there’s nothing Blizzard can do then it’s not a good system and Role queue needs to go back into the oven to cook…
I mean, at one point I had 45 minute queue in League of Legends on top of regular 10+ minute waits.

You miss the part where it is better than what came before.
Yeah, needs work, but it is the best system we have, so it is in live.
For me the DPS queue is WAY WAY shorter. I filled, so I only got to DPS once or twice a night.
Now I can DPS every 10 minutes. It is a VAST improvement. I’m no longer subsidizing for other DPS queue times.
The issue that the regular DPS are not getting is others were not playing their favorite role, so they could.
Now that isn’t happening, the queue times are now even between the groups.
However for one group it went up, and the other it went way way down.
The DPS Queue length isn’t longer overall, it is now just more even between the people who cared about team comp, and the ones who didn’t.
It being ‘best’ is debatable

I have the same DPS queue times as everyone else NOW - that is the point.
For me, 10 minutes is short. I’d end up filling for a good 2 hours for each DPS game.
That is where the DPS queue times are coming from, people like me, who USED to fill, but don’t now.
You are suggesting I go back to having to 2 hours between each DPS game.
Blizzard saw that there was going to be longer DPS queues, but they understood why it was the case.
It isn’t - DPS are waiting longer, it is only people who want to play DPS are now waiting the same amount of time.
It was VASTLY unfair before. You had to make a choice, be selfish and have good DPS queue times, or work with your team and have really really bad DPS queue times.
So which is more fair? Which one should we promote? Because the Queue times overall don’t change.
It is just one is now more even. That is good right?
It feels like Blizzard listened to the minority which was those people that filled and were getting tired of doing it. So it’s like “suffer like I have suffered” now.
dude, dont compare league to overwatch, in league matches usually are around 45m-1h while ow 30m at max, if match was longer then longer queue time wouldnt be such a big deal, but usually a game isnt longer than 20-30m which is frustrating because when you win or lose gg go back to waiting 10 minutes.

nah role queue was mostly for better balance, if they cared about support and tank suffering from queue they would have done something about it in the past 17 seasons.
correction, another reason to hate 2-2-2, leavers were annoying before sure, but now with this 222 role que, theres a huge wait time for certain roles and it is a much larger issue.
an issue that didn’t exist till forced role que was implemented. this is 100% a role que issue.

I think because there are far less players now. Most DPS players don’t care about winning that much so they move on to different games because it’s all shooty shooty. And tank and support players stick around because those roles are more unique.

Actually they did. Why do you think they were agains role q for so long? In every role q system ever there is a long wait for dps.

They designed it with “people wanting to play DPS” in mind. And Tanks, and Healers. That’s why they split up the SR’s for each category now - so that if people want to main one type, they can, and not have the other two types “artificially” lower their SR.
Their lack of foresight while trying to deliberately do something is what broke the system.
I would much prefer having a guaranteed 2/2/2 over the 4 DPS garbage we had before.
Honestly the simple solution to this if your game ends under say 5 minutes due to leavers the players in that game put back into the front of the line when they reque.
