I know, I know - it sounds like a dumb idea but please hear me out.
I am sure you know those posts where peole complain about the que times on DPS or how much they dislike 2-2-2 or loved to fill for their team.
Those people would benefit from a second ranked mode. Maybe we could see it like an arcade mode at the start? Just to try it out maybe? Like we had Lucioball comp, capture the flagg, etc.
I am aware of the fact, that most of those matches would be like old quickplay. Or like old comp. More than 2 DPS characters, maybe one or not a single healer/tank.
But hey, you would not need to go and play Comp 1.0 if you wouldnt like to experience it.
You could just go back to Overwatch Comp Rolelock!
How did I come up with this idea?
- it would drastically lower que times for players who want to play as soon as possible comp and are sick of que times or just want to fill again.
- it would not be hard to create because it would be the old ranked mode
- i am sure there would need to be some limitations (either no top500 icon etc. [like roleQ-beta])
I think to add someonething optional could help the game and for those who don’t want to experience the “old” one again can just go and play the new, and in my oppinion better version of ranked.
Also if people don’t change/fill in the ranked they don’t really have a right to complain that much because they can decide to have a either “normal” teamcomp but have to wait longer, or a faster match where… everything can come together.
What do you think about that idea? 
Ps.: Also if this might never make it to the live servers or even PTR - I would like your oppinion too if we would say that it would be easily possible to implement it ^-^/
