Of course Valk is fine. It doesn’t do much aside from give Mercy an escape or sway a fight her team’s way. Who cares about that?

Mercy makes no plays. Not really. She’s just maid service keeping heroes fed while they go play. She herself doesn’t do much. That’s the complaint!

So yeah, unless you’re a Mercy main it’s going to look good. She literally cannot piss anyone off. In a game where most heroes have something worthy to do she doesn’t.

By the same token they don’t have to remove or add new abilities to make her feel like she’s contributing, they only have to tweak their values here and there so as to up their intensity at the cost of something else (like duration or charge-up time) so when they are used they feel significant.

That’s it. That’s all we really want when we play Mercy — to feel like we do have a voice somewhere in that chorus on how the game is actually won or lost. Same as everyone else does!

Then maybe your playstyle isn’t optimal. When I play Mercy in comp and stuff I have an impact by healing and boosting the right targets, ressurecting the right person without dying but in risky spots, superjumping and flying with guardian angel and by using my ult when it’s needed and optimal to use. I only play her under special circumstances so that she isn’t countered and that there isn’t a better alternative to her.
It’s that easy. :stuck_out_tongue:

(BTW maybe your profile is wrong but if you really want to feel an impact stop playing qp and start ranking. QP is often a meme… and you can’t really play niche characters in there (as mercy) :slight_smile: )

I haven’t been a Mercy main in a good long while. Not really anything to do with her kit, I don’t have a problem with it, I just found Ana, loved her and never played anything else xd

But, some of us like to think of new ults or abilities for heroes because guess what…it’s fun. Granted, there are some radical players who aggressively demand, but that exists for any hero.

And anyways, it’s not like the dev’s are going to suddenly steal an idea of the forum for a new Mercy ult, so let people suggest changes to a Hero they enjoy playing. Does it really affect you in any way?

Then tell people to stop complaining when new ult ideas are pitched too. The problem is people being so anti-Mercy at this point rather then anti-mass res or any other kind of res. Give a new take on it and you still get people demanding you stop discussing things at all. We need far less of those people.

I partly understand the people… I mean the “raid” was kinda unnecessary and there are a lot of other things that are just annoying for the general playerbase that are created by so-called “mercy mains”.

I’m not even talking about whatever raid went on. I make an unrelated thread and still get people clicking only to post that they don’t want to even allow discussion or new ideas to be talked about. Acting like any post about Mercy should be treated the same, or that demanding silence regardless of who it’s from or how things are presented is terrible. There is nothing to understand about those types.

It never shifted, mass rez being ‘unfun’ to play against was a reason they changed it. Now some mercy players think she is unfun to play with, which I agree.

You will always have people that hate something without thinking or any reasons… The situation you described isn’t okay but I think we can understand why they are that rude (even if it’s bad behaviour).
That doesn’t make it better… maybe we have to wait until all the “mercy mains” are gone and the forums have another victim. :stuck_out_tongue:

Those 10 players are miserable because they’re bad at the game. That isn’t Mercy’s fault.

They enjoy playing Mercy. That’s the whole point. The hero they found fun was made unfun because of bad players.

But… why? The whole hide and Rez play style was even more brain dead now, a move that can litteraly bring a whole team back to life dosent deserve to be in the game.

Haha, the funny thing is I know the reply I’m going to get ‘but DPS ults take skill cause they need setup and is easy to block’ which I have a counter towards that too :slight_smile:

I’d rather have a different E ability, but if you want ideas for an ult there are plenty of ideas on the forums.

DPS do require skill to set up and all but to say Mass rez doesn’t take skill is just plain stupid. Going for those 4-5 man rez was a huge gamble and temp rez was the best option.

As for going against it, ult economy works wonders, plus your team has the better position compared to the team being rezzed. Of course there will be scenarios where you can’t counter the rez but you say that for all ults.
