I just played a game of comp with someone who spent the whole game trash talking teammates and wasted time sitting in spawn typing to trash talk us in chat. He linked his Twitch stream, and I’m watching some of his vods and he acts like this in every game he plays, constantly flaming the team and being toxic in general. Is there somewhere I can send Blizzard a link to his channel so they can investigate it?
You can always either call or open a ticket up on battle net - however unless you get someone that actually gives a damn I wouldn’t expect much. Either way it depends on you and if you want to take that avenue.
Where do I open up a ticket? I only see options to contact support about technical issues and appealing a silence.
Since Blizzard made it that I cannot attach links (even to their own site - ) I’ll try and describe it as best I can and hopefully not get banned.
Go to Us(dot)Battle(dot)net
Top Right corner you’ll see “Support”
Click Overwatch
You’ll see 4 main avenues of Support. Account is the only one that will offer you a way of talking to someone. Usually if I have a general question that I cannot find an answer to I’ll use Account and Change Account Information. From there if you are on the site during normal operating hours you’ll see 3 avenues - Web Ticket, Live Chat, Phone.
You can choose any but web ticket or talking to someone is what I prefer. From there just explain that you encountered a twitch streamer that is throwing games and being toxic (chances are he’s doing it for “lols” and views. They’ll forward it to where it needs to go.
Also it’s a violation of Twitch as well and you can report his channel to them too.
Oh, okay. He’s not really throwing, just being extremely toxic, which I know is something Blizzard’s said they look out for on YouTube and Twitch. I’ll contact them and see if they’ll investigate, thank you!
Go back in game Press P, recent people/players. Find the name. If you know the time of when the game ended, put that in the ticket and what was said and his actions.
Not attempting to be negative, BUT, theres multiple utube overwatch I dunno, fan sites that discussed JUST this season, maybe 3weeks ago, about a person that threw games for A YEAR!!! A full year on twitch streamers games before Blizzard did anything.
Could you imagine any sport where everytime someone played Team XYZ they fumbled the ball constantly, passed it to the other team, let goals into the net w/out contention and have this go on for a YEAR?
Dont expect much and you wont be disappointed is all I’m getting at. Even w/video proof.
