Silver seems harder than Gold?

  • Season 1: Started Bronze, worked to mid Silver. It was not challenging.
  • Season 2: Worked to mid Gold. Feel like this is where I should be.
  • Season 3: Stayed in Gold.
  • CURRENT SEASON: DROPPED TO SILVER. ALSO EVERY GAME FEELS LIKE PLATINUM FIGHTING TOOTH AND NAIL. I AM AT MY BEST CAPABILITIES OF AIM AND GAME SENSE. AND I’M TRYING MY HARDEST. BUT EVERY MATCH IS A STRUGGLE OF IMPOSSIBLE ODDS WITH VASTLY MIXED TEAMMATES.
    WTF IS HAPPENING??

So, anyone else experience this? Thanks for your input. :+1:

Yes, lower ranks can feel harder than the higher ones because team mates don’t enable each other as well. You can play to the best of your ability and sometimes you can’t make up for a team that trickles, staggers, feeds and uses ultimates whenever they feel like it

Every region will have different climbing experience. But in general, it’s easier to win games in gold than it is to win games in bronze. You tend to get more reliable teammates in average ranks compared to below average ranks.

Gold players usually know what they’re doing, so if you know what you’re doing, things tend to work out. Bronze (and sometimes silver) on the other hand, is a clown fiesta. So it’s better to just focus on your own performance rather than trying to “synergise” with your team.

The reason why Season 1 and Season 2 was easier for you was probably due to rank inflation. Hype is over and the playerbase has settled down now, so only the dedicated players remain, which can make ranked more challenging.

Usually they have a basic grasp of what to do to win games, but sometimes fails in the execution. The biggest problem seems just lack of teamwork.
