Just had this example of completely silent doomfist 1-shot:
Now I canât get the image of a Doomfist balance change where heâs forced to scream power at all times during the match out of my head.
Iâve read that sound doesnât propagate properly in the vertical plane, but honestly Doomfist has way too much power to not be making noise AT ALL TIMES.
The slam +uppercut combo alone does close to 300 damage.
Because itâs the nerf everyone has been wanting and okay with.
There are few times everyone agrees on a nerf for a hero, that is one of them.

I mean Junkratâs Rip-Tire works the same way, but just like Doomfist it doesnât happen 100% of the time and doesnât execute flawlessly every time.
Regardless, Doomfist is a non-factor at the moment and doesnât need any nerfs.
Making him more noticeable wouldnât be a nerf because he can still reliably kill the majority of heroes before they can react, and supports generally canât outheal his damage
If him being unnoticeable and undetected is the only thing thatâs helping him keep a consistent kill potential then that would affect him quite a bit.
Doomfist lives off of ambushes because if you seem him before he sees you, chances are heâs dead.
Weâve been saying that for the longest. Once SS charges the sound just disappears.
They really need to fix it because you can hear Rocket Punch when being charged to its max but not with SS.
But itâs not. His reliability comes from his cooldowns being relatively short, the ability to squeeze in primary fire between any ability, and from gaining shields for every successful ability.
Fair point, but thereâs not enough in the game for players to be proactive against Doomfist.
Damn, while that sucks, that was an amazing doom play right there.
If you listen closely you can hear the seismic slam right about when mccree says âwoahâ or when hammond says âlandingâ. But the sound of you spamming right and left click covers the sound because they sound similar.
Doom is busted, needed way more nerfs than he got, and gives value far above his skill level.
The fact that he doesnât alert people to his attacks despite his defenders constant claims to the contrary has been well known for some time.
Blizzard isnât ever going to fix him or balance him. They want him to continue to reign terror at the lower ranks of the game and be completely oppressive to basically everything.
In essence, doom is there for the doom player to have fun, and if you are unlucky enough to be in a match with one you are there for him to have fun.
Better to just leave the match if it isnât comp.
It would be a nerf. A justified, good, and thought out nerf, but the point of making him noticeable is that it gives people more time to react before he can do damage.

Outplayed how? By positioning himself behind his team where a support should be and around a corner where he could make a quick retreat towards a health pack if attacked? What happened was DF player pressed 2 buttons and got an instant kill
I wanted to have fun, but the enemy team had a Doomfist, so I guess I am playing Moira instead
