Sigma's ult radius

Is Sigma’s ult radius supposed to not match the effect circle? This seems wrong to me.

Because it 100% is about 1 meter wider than the effect circle. I’ve easily gotten caught by it when I’ve cleared it by a wide margin on my screen.

I am not a technical expert, but I think you may have experienced some lag. On your screen you may have cleared it but on the server you were still in it.

I think it register those inside the circle the moment the Sigma player clicks to set its location, and even if you walk out of it, you get the ult effect, because you were registered at its click moment.

It’s gotta be it.

It might also be that the effect circle is perfectly fine, but your hitbox is wider than you imagine it to be. You don’t have to be fully immersed to get caught up; merely dipping your toe in is enough. That goes for any AOE item.

it could also be favor the shooter at work, you saw yourself move out, the Sigma player saw it hit.

Nah I’ve been in the initial ult circle multiple times and escaped before he pulled up and it didnt affect me

So there must be a tiny widow moment to get out of it, because there were times I just got out and even though I got pulled up.

Like the thread is saying this is something we’ve known for a bit now but the radius shown and the actual radius dont match up

OW has oversized hitboxes so this seem plausible to me

Just confirmed in practice range. Deff goes passed.

This is a post from 2019, nice necros
