Sigma’s stadium item, De Kuiper’s Thesis is meant to heal allies near his Experimental Barrier for 3% of Sigma’s max health. However, I’ve noticed that this healing only applies when allies are in front of the shield. Being behind the shield provides no healing. Weirdly, this is not true for the orbiting experimental barrier from Sigma’s stadium power: “Orbital Barrier”. It always heals Sigma despite the fact that Sigma is behind the orbiting shield at all times.

Adding on to this: sigma’s Maestro power has a visual bug where the ult charge meter is capped at 50% instead of filling up normally. The ult still charges faster and triggers normally when the meter reaches 50%.

I want to add that Sigma himself receives no healing from his main Experimental Barrier. Allies sometimes get the healing but its a bit weird. Sometimes they receive healing from the barrier if they are in front of it but if I place in an ally’s direction, they don’t receive that healing.

Just tested the item “De Kuiper’s Thesis” and his power “Maestro” in the practice range.
Can confirm both issues.
De Kuiper’s Thesis is super bugged and inconsitent. Allies would recieve healing when the shields front would point to them if it was behind them, but if I cast the shield from the front, they would only recieve heals if the barrier was behind them.
If cast from the side, they wouldn’t recieve any heals.
“Maestro” is bugged as written before, but you can check your ult status with the ult indicator in chat.

Sigmas shield is bugged only heals you if you throw it in front of you, if you throw it further(around 10meters) the healing effect does not trigger on sigma, plz fix

I’ve noticed that if the bottom of your shield is positioned below ground then the ‘hero item’ doesnt grant healing. I usually look down a bit at an angle when placing my experimental barrier to block against Rein Ult’s, etc.
I’m not sure if its intended but it has made more aware of how I position my shield in order to get any value from the ‘hero item’. You basically need to have your shield above ground and not have the bottom phase into the ground to ensure the ‘hero item: De Kuipers Thesis’, to go active and actually heal.
