You’d think that thing would be pretty hard for people to hit consistently, but EVERY other time I try to blade, I’m hit with it and I die instantly. Like… I don’t even understand how he’s doing it. One second I’m a warpath moving at light speed, and the next I’m getting hit upside the head with a giant rock as if he somehow always has it off cooldown, always knows where I am and where I’m going. Throw Orisa halt or Hog hook before or after for extra deadness. And forget even thinking of trying to farm damage with deflect, instant death.
Let Genji deflect it, damn it! It’s. a. projectile. Genji deflects projectiles. And don’t come at me with that real-world logic BS; if Genji can deflect Mei’s robot and make it turn in her, he can deflect a rock. The mechanic reflects projectiles.
Idk. I find that I like the idea that he is making a slowish moving comet that has such extreme amounts of mass that it cannot be deflected. I dont play genji so I cannot suggest any tips on how to avoid it.
Yeah idk dude. Sigma is just completely backwards when it comes to the expected interactions we have. He has projectiles that just go straight through damage mitigation abilities like deflect or matrix and then his “matrix” can block hook and whipshot for some odd reason, as if having the barrier equivalent of defense matrix on no cooldown wasn’t enough.
Or you could play Sigma like he’s an actual threat and wait for it to be on CD? I mean it’s a fairly obvious attack. It knocks you down for a fraction of a second and you keep your momentum if you were already moving. Of all the possible stuns in the game to stop a Genji blade it’s the least reliable and effective. Seriously if it’s your biggest problem your in more trouble than you think.
As some one who likes to play Sigma I’ll tell you a secret, most the time I didn’t aim for you. I aimed into a group of people and hoped for the best. Get close, the closer you are the harder it is to hit as the turning speed while charging up is pretty slow.
It’s not a projectile though… it’s a buildable object.
But even if it were a projectile, it’s not an arrow, bullet, rocket, or small mechanical device… it’s a frikkin boulder going up against a butter knife by comparison.
yeah ik. Im so glad they made the change but its ridiculous it even made it into the game in the first place. Its like they just don’t play their own game or something.
Sure, Sym’s turrets could technically be called projectiles by definition, but you don’t throw those at people. You place them and they do damage. Trying to call Sigma’s rock a deployable is just ridiculous.
If it was on any base game character, it would be deflected. This is just some dumb exception that he really doesn’t even need. He’s strong enough without it and it makes Genji/Dva even less worth playing than they already are.
why stop with the rock why not demand to deflect dva bombs and charging reins.
btw stones and glass houses. maybe lazer shurikan man shouldn’t complain about consistency. might end up with your projectiles being actual projectiles.
Every time I get asked how/why I used “something” on Genji the answer is always predictable movement. That Rock is not a throw away cooldown like Brig bash either so Simgas are more likely to sit on it until they actually need it for something.
Also if there is a Sigma in your game there is a really high chance there is also a high chance he has teammates you can’t do anything to so maybe you should try a different hero?
