Should we be reporting cheaters for text chat?

Even if they didn’t say anything in chat, it’s much more likely to get them banned than reporting them for the actual cheating they actually did

Filed reports do have to accurately describe why you are reporting them, so if said cheaters say nothing that violates the EULA, then going the chat report route will just result in a chat suspension or other punishment that can be reversed on appeal. I’ve previously reported blatant aim bot users with “thank you for reporting” messages afterwards, so I can only assume that their accounts got banned permanently.

I don’t think they’re more likely to be banned, but rather silenced in chat. I’d stick to reporting for the violations they actually commit.

Yeah I’d stick to reporting the trash for what they actually do, I saw that they’re now making note of people who do false reporting. So if they are cheating, but you report them for text chat violations it could actually backfire for you.

Not worth risking your account.
