Should we be afraid of Hero 29?

This occurred to me when I was looking at all the hero releases. It got me thinking. What will Hero 29 bring to the game? Will it become somewhat popular as it used to be? Or will it do nothing? Or will it break the game to the point where it’s unplayable? Leave your replies. I’m interested in what people think about this.

Yes. Be very, very afraid. Because I have sources that the next hero added to the game will be a counter to everything. It has many names, but the one you likely know it by is…

Each and every hero release after Orisa has been a disappointment.

Honestly, OW if the first game ever where I dread new content.

O yay, the next map might be worse than HCL, or more imbalanced than Rialto.

Same goes for heros.

No, they are going to be a DPS. And at this rate, likely a general DPS. General DPS are rarely, if ever a problem. They are just going to deal damage. No wack CC. No crazy utility. Maybe mobility, but honestly, does it get any worse than Genju?

I just want the MEKA squad tbh, if it’s a melee hero I’ll be concerned though.

I think you mean DF…

Genji is tame compared to what DF can do.

I’d even say DF has the best mobility in-game, as it can CC and do damage, all while being on a low CD. Tracer only has blinks, which is nimble, but only in 2 dimensions.

I’m hoping for an anchor tank.

It will be very popular and meta changing for a bit but then rebalanced to find its niche, it will be launched with a couple bugs but nothing to worry about as long as you don’t use primary fire with secondary ability at the same time (trust me on this)

Worry, if their balancing is a bad as it is now expect a broken hero who defnines the game for god knows how long because they are too busy making stuff no one wants for OWL

Hero 29 is Meimmetra

Primary attack freezes you in place, unable to move while doing 80 damage
Secondary attack is a charge up 120 damage ball

Throws turrets that freeze you and deal damage
Whole map spanning icewall, impassable unless sections are hit with enough damage to knock a panel out, within 10m of wall has a slowing/freezing effect

Can iceblock for invulnerability and heal self while in this form

Say what you want about Hammy…he was fun.

Actually, good point. I cannot believe I forgot about him. Ugh. Hopefully we get nothing like that.

This game has a place for a Damage over Time style hero. other than Ana, there is no example of this in the game.

The way things work with Blizz is either an OP-Mess(Baguette) or laughably useless(Symmetra 69.0), so we are flipping a coin here.

im afraid its gonna be brig #2. then each team will be able to have 2 brigs. now that would be scary.

I’ll have to disagree.
