I hear a lot of pros and top 500 talk about nerfing tracer. As a character who has never received any changes and has been in the meta forever does she need a nerf? What do you guys think?
She might need a very slight nerf, but she mostly needs more reliable counters😁
I personally don’t think so, I myself am not that great with her, but despite what everyone says I honestly think she is in fact balanced, annoying as heck to deal with especially when it’s a good tracer, but not OP. Heck a good lucio can be just as annoying or even more annoying to deal with than a tracer.

She can get a soldier treatment but I’m for her not being touched at all. She’s fine. It’s just the meta is heavily favoring her because her mobility is being abused along with D.va and Winston in higher levels. Zenyatta is also picked a lot because his kit works so well with dive.
What I would define as OP would be a character that is always in the meta and is essential to most wins. For instance she is one of the most played heroes and the diversity of compositions in Overwatch is very predictable.
Overwatch would be balanced if more than one composition is popular and effective to winning

no but hanzo needs a serious nerf including his ultimate ability and blizzard already said they will not nerf her
First off his ultimate is not useful unless you have a zarya ult. And second when did they say they were not going to nerf her ever
there was stuff going around the forums that said they wasnt gonna touch her and that the other characters where balanced around her which i don exactly believe
The thing about Tracer is that she’s built for working in high skill environments and around dive tanks.
Right now her winrates aren’t very impressive, and she’s usually picked less than S76 in environments that are low skill or are predominantly running Reinhardt based comps.
So, like, she’s working well where she is meant to be working well and working badly where she is meant to be working badly. She doesn’t inflate win rates, she isn’t driving the meta, she isn’t considered mandatory (I’ve literally never seen anyone ask for a Tracer on their team in GM/t500), and they’re actively putting in new counters for her.
I think she’s working as intended.
