Winston, Reinhardt, Orisa.
These three are the spearheads of their respective compositions and are widely regarded as the main tanks of the game by the top level players.

I wasn’t aware a hero who can tank about as much damage as a baked potato could count as “main tank” (no offense Winston mains, that’s just my experience with him). Welp, the more you know.
In that case, let me amend my initial statement to say we need a new Anchor tank. There are only two, and at least one is always necessary unless you’re running dive.

I’m not trying to argue with you, really I swear I’m not, but I actually think it’d be cooler if we got a new main tank for dive instead (an alternative to Winston). We have two options at anchor tank, but we lack a second option for main dive tank. That would be cool.

I don’t count Winston as a main tank. A main tank can tank the damage. Winston, well, can’t.

Main Tank is the tank who everyone plays around in a team composition. That’s why Winston is a main tank.
You seem to be thinking of anchor tank.

Nah, anchor/main are interchangeable for me.
Like I said, that’s just how I view it. Not saying it’s the right way.
Like WoW, I tanked as a Druid and he’s a main tank. Pally is a main tank.
DK was a bully tank.
–I also off tanked as a shammy but we’re not going to talk about that one.
Then remember that most people don’t think the same way you do.

Now, if Blizzard did something to actually define them all properly, we might have some basis here to what to call them.

I wouldn’t mind one of each. I think right now we lack an alternative to Winston as a main dive tank. I also think that we lack a real alternative to D.Va as a more mobile off tank. So, I think we need another tank that can challenge high ground in some way.

Probably prefer an off tank. Just so my main’s viablilty isn’t threatened even more than it already is.
Also, Winston is a Main Tank, because he is the spearhead of the dive composition. Ask any pro or high level player, they will give you the same answer almost unanimously.
an omnic tank that has like 600 hp but when using an ability that turns part of it into a turret, its other ability and Hp drops by a third.
and you can drop two turrets down. and then drops ur hp down to 200 hp and roughly makes a slow firing hard hitting torb turret that have crit boxes.
Sounds pretty neet tbh.
