For almost 2 years she’s been good in almost every meta and all team compositions, she has very good tanking capability, good utility and fits every situation. The latter is especially important since it contradicts Overwatch philosophy - “pick characters according to map and situation”. D.va is simply too good at everything. To me it sounds like being over powered. You know, having too much in one’s kit. Being good at many things. Not having a niche and could be run in any situation. Maybe (just maybe) her kit should be toned down. Health, DM, missiles, boosters, ultimate, something. Being too good at everything in a game where heroes have clear weaknesses is unhealthy for the game balance. And D.va remains the only character with >95% pick rate with no changes that lessen that pick rate.
yes lets make tanks even less fun so the rest of tank mains leaves finally the game.

Remember McRightclick? 150-bodyshot Widow? 8 sec Dragonblade Genji? 35% ironclad Bastion? I don’t see people quitting dps roles. Btw what is meta right now? 3 tanks 3 sups. Their mains meta. Yeah, they will leave the game for sure.
its only meta if you play on the high elo… there is no goats meta on low elo, like there was no triple tank meta on low elo, no dive meta on low elo.

I don’t understand you people. You want all heroes to viable and playable at any composition, but when a hero finally reaches that point. NOPE. Its op. Nerf it to oblivion because OmG hIgH pIcK rAtEs.
Yes she has a very high pickrate since launch but D.Va hasnt any competition either. Her only alternative, Wrecking Ball needs some buff what makes D.Va’s pickrate lower.
wreckingballs movement and ability to contest highground is not as reliable as dvas one.

No. I don’t care if shes overpowered. Shes easily dealt with still.
While she’s picked a lot and generally does well, I don’t feel like she’s a “must-pick”. And while she generally does well against a lot of the roster, most of the roster has no issues playing against her, either. IMO, she feels pretty balanced and doesn’t need any changes.
Wrecking Ball is really competing with Winston (at least in the pro scene), rather than Dva. But of course, nobody cares about the pro scene.
wrecking ball does not provide any protecting… dva has still her matrix. its blizzards fault not making tanks who have mobility and a protection tool.

The only tank dead more often than D.va is demeched is Reinhardt.
D.va is the only decidedly off-tank with vertical mobility, and it is extremely important to deal with the high ground on many maps.
I don’t know about Hammond but his vertical mobility is more gimmicky and most top level players seem to use him more often as a main tank when he isn’t doing triple tank. So I dunno. He’s in a weird spot.
Anyway, she has a very generalist kit as well.
Winston generally doesn’t provide any protection either. His bubble is used to keep himself alive when he’s balls deep in the backline, or split the enemy team down the middle to cut of the healer’s access to their tanks.
Only situationally is it actually placed for the specific intention of blocking damage for a teammate’s benefit.
he still offers more protection with his bubble than wreckingball.

dva -> bomb can block the whole ult
makes anas life harder with blocking nades
