Shop Is Just... Sad

Seeing these skins priced at $10 and $20 dollars that you would have been able to get as part of a free Christmas event back in OW1, or in a high chance in a lootbox you were given for free just for logging on during Christmas.
And now you have no choice but to pay real money.

It’s disappointing. I mean I don’t fault anyone for getting them or anything, it’s just sad considering where we came from and where we are now.

Very sad! Some might say it’s the saddest shop they’ve ever seen!

It’s a shame. I spent money on skins and BPs. We should be able to earn holiday skins. I’m also a Kiriko main. The festive skin is cool, but it’s not worth 19 dollars. It’s a pity. I have no holiday skins for her.

I have a choice. I choose to enjoy the tons of skins I already got for free.

Out of my mains I usually rotate 1-3 legendaries.

I don’t even use the Ana Mythic skin.

Cosmetics are awesome and fun.

But not worth a price I can buy games for.

The PVE is more sad.

I kinda think their stratagy limits them to stolen credit cards at this point. VS actual gamers which are on a strict budget.

I saw Pharah had a new skin and was a bit excited and then I saw its just a recolor of the old Halloween skin. How is a Nutcracker a ghost?

Super Lazy Blizz.

You should have made it a soldier skin since the traditional Nut Cracker is a soldier. Would have been cool to see soldier running around with a goofy nutcracker head.

Recolors aren’t worth buying

And yet people still seem to dunk $ on this garbage. So they’ll keep charging ludicrous amounts.

you should feel bad for him cuz you can still get it for free lol (last i checked atleast)

the for you page should not show old skins because all of the old ones can be bought with credits.

Agreed

I may be incorrect on this but I don’t think the event skins are available to purchase. Even for OW1 you had to wait until the event was on (Halloween, Winter Wonderland, Summer etc) to buy the skins from prior years.

It’s nice to look at.
Sorta like that shop that opens in your neighborhood that sells impractical junk for ridiculous prices.
“That’s cool,” you say as you walk the aisle.
When you return some time later and see that same junk marked 60% off, “maybe later,” you think.

IMO the only new skin worth 20 bucks for this season is the Doomfist Disco Skin + Disco Motion Bundle. That stupid smile is priceless.

It’s a first person shooter too. Skins mean absolutely nothing. Back in Ow1 skins were something to earn while playing, you’d get skins that theoretically look cool, but come the next event most of the ones we previously got would simply be swapped out for the brand new shiny ones. Skins being sold in a shop cured my fomo pretty darn quickly!

Most of the “event” skins were made purchasable all the time… but they still remove some of them from availability in anticipation of putting them on the store for the cash currency.

I mean you are basically arguing if it is better to be able to buy the 1 specific skin for $10 or instead spend $10 on lootboxes for a chance to get it (which isnt even guaranteed)

With lootboxes a $10 skin now, could have cost $3 if you are lucky and get it in a couple goes or it could cost you $30. That’s why no one liked lootboxes and they were removed

You should, if people stopped buying overpriced skins then maybe the entire gaming industry would change their scummy practices, A skin should never cost more than 5$ and let’s say 7$ for a bundle with a couple of extra items.
