Shield Support Concept

So, basically, what Symmetra was, but functional as a Support kit, rather than a Defence kit. If Overwatch wants to have less healing prevelant in the game, there needs to be suitable alternatives. And that’s what I hope to make with this idea.

New Support Hero: Titan

General:

  • Health: In the ratio of H:SH, 20/230
  • Movement Speed: 5.5m/s

Passive: Shield Matrix

Titan’s Shield Health recovers sooner after avoiding damage, and recharges much more quickly. Allies within 15m of Titan share a weaker bonus of this effect. Additionally, Titan’s Shields are stronger than the average model. Any Shields Titan provides an ally grants them a 5% reduction to all incoming damage for as long as they’re affected by Titan’s Shields. Titan can only apply a maximum of 150 Shields to an ally at any time.

Titan’s Shields are considered a unique Health type. They will be placed in the priority of: Health, Armour, Shields. Titan’s Shields do not stack with additional Shield Health, and will instead temporarily replace existing Shield Health with his Applied Shields.

  • Shield Recharge Delay (Self): 1.5 seconds
  • Shield Recharge Rate (Self): 35/s
  • Shield Recharge Delay (Aura): 2 seconds
  • Shield Recharge Rate (Aura): 25/s

Weapon: Plasma Cannon

Titan weilds a small hand cannon made that fires heavy projectiles that deal damage in a small area with a slow rate of fire and small magazine.

  • Ammo: 6
  • Reload: 1 second
  • Damage (Impact): 50
  • Damage (AOE): 15
  • Explosion Radius: 5m
  • Rate of Fire: 1/second

Secondary Fire: Haven

Titan draws power from his Shields, linking himself to all allies in range, healing them overtime and granting allies at full health Shields. Haven also cleanses any applied Status Effect on Titan on activation. Haven doesn’t have a duration, but drains Titan’s Shield Health to channel it.

  • AOE: 10m
  • Healing: 30HP/s
  • Healing (Max Health): 35SH/s
  • Maximum Number of Target: 4
  • Shield Drain: 10/s
  • Cooldown (Ability End): 8 seconds

Ability 1: Shield Pillage

Titan creates a wave of energy that strips enemy Shield Health and Armour Health, converting it to Shield Health for himself and his allies. Enemies without Shield or Armour Health are slowed if hit by Sheild Pillage. Shield Pillage also provides a small heal, regardless of if any Shields or Armour was striped.

  • Range (Pillage): 11m
  • Damage (Shield/Armour): 150
  • Shielding: 10% of combined stripped
    Shields/Armour
  • Healing: 60
  • Range (Shielding/Heal): 12m of Titan
  • Slow (Targets with no Shields/Armour): 25%
  • Cooldown: 11 seconds

Ability 2: Surge

Titan places a buff on an ally, granting them bonus movement speed and granting them Shields based on damage dealt.

  • Range: 20m
  • Movement Speed: +10%
  • Healing: 10% of damage done is converted to Shields
  • Duration: 5 seconds
  • Cooldown: 10 seconds

Ultimate: Bastille

Titan deploys a small drone that, after a short wind up, releases a field of energy that provides Shields and Damage Mitigation to allies, whilst slowing the movement speed and fire rate of enemies, while also providing them with negative CDR.

  • Ultimate Cost: 1,950
  • Shields: 40SH/s
  • Damage Mitigation: 0.5% per second
  • Max Damage Mitigation: 15%
  • Slow: 35%
  • Fire Rate Slow: 25%
  • Cooldown Modifier (Enemy): +10%
  • Duration: 10 seconds

I honestly don’t think Blizzard is too keen on adding something like that, yeah it definitely was unique but they’ve clearly made it so that any additional health ability is overhealth.

Imagine that Titan was in the game when sombra got rid of shield

Yo it’s Hildryn…kind of.

I’d love a support like this. Too bad they won’t really experiment with it (probably).
