Exactly.
We are replacing one must pick comp with another slower one that has more stuns and is more infuriating
Yet weirdly Reinhardt mirror comps were once the zenith of balance and good design.
How times change.
Wasn’t as much CC in the game in that regard. Now it’s just who can stun the enemy Rein more.
Objectively is the key take away here, I find dive much more infuriating. Anything is a breathe of fresh air at this point, anything.
Agreed it’s nice to see a change. But it’s going to make it living hell for Rein’s who need to partner her.
Oh yeah because CC has always been a major factor.
It’s not that it isn’t or wasn’t there, it was just never as good as killing.
The best CC of course was Rein’s… how ironic. Zarya was usually his OT too for GS.
It was there to a degree.
But never on a 4 second effective cool down that can disable a Rein so easily.
Rein was all about mind games, and play making.
Now it really is “bully the enemy Rein by spamming him out of the game and hope our Brig does it better”
Old Rein mirror comps were a great show of strategy, mind games and timing
Good luck with your Brigitte solo healer!
Honestly that comment is just proof that bias and blind hate have no SR cap.
Or be on high ground where she can’t bully him.
This assumes we’re not using other tanks and it has to be Rein.
Again, Rein isn’t tanks. Brigitte has been no bother to me on Orisa or D.Va because she’s not very effective against their kit.
Sure there’s synergy with Rein for her, but you usually run 2 tanks for good reason.
But I am talking about the findings that pro level scrims have been relaying to other GMs and the community.
So far they are suggesting triple support with Brig almost acting as an off tank, and then a main tank (Rein) and either another off tank, or a DPS.
If they deviate from this comp they are saying it’s pretty much a loss every time.
I can’t remember who it was, but they said they experimented with Doomfist and a non Brig comp, but it just didn’t reliably counter it.
They did say she would change the meta!
They said the same about Sombra and Doomfist.
What next?
She’s great on Korean Contenders?
Look, let’s just get some real data on this before losing our minds and listening to discredited streamers.
It was the case with Sombra. She is still getting good play time at the pro level even after they toned her down again quite drastically.
Imagine if she wasn’t toned down? She would be seeing Tracer like play time and further enforcing dive which they didn’t want.
Lets not forget this clip is discussing pro level.
She’s down to 6% in OWL, that’s trolling Dragons numbers.
She saw play and didn’t work out. They’re dropping her just as everyone, including those same pros did on the ladder.
Which could be down to them toning her down too much, it didn’t change the fact in her original state (which we didn’t get to see go live for them in the league) she was having way too much say in enforcing dive.
She was in deep decline on the ladder even in GM before the nerfs even hit.
Ladder isn’t pro level though (which is again what he is discussing in the clip)
Moira is played more than Mercy on the ladder but look at the league play times for the two.
I didn’t know casters are the end all be all of what is balanced!
Pro players play ladder. Get to GM, top 500 they mix in the exact same people.
And ladder is a mess, there is so much solo playing and no considerable amount of team work compared to a pro team that scrims together for 5-8 hours a day.
Moira would be the strongest OWL pick if ladder applied to OWL.
