For people who are unaware: Blizzard have set text chat to off by default on new accounts. All new players can not see your text chat.
In most of the world text chat is used more than voice chat, for all kinds of reasons but mostly for language and accent barriers. It’s simply easier to write than talk sometimes.
Coop modes with new players who can’t see any of the text chat is one of the worst experiences you can have in the game.
Disabling text chat unless new players manually turn it on is quite possibly one of the most shortsighted things this company has ever done.
