Setting max acceptable ping?

Hello I am from India. Is it possible to set maximum acceptable ping while queuing for competitive? Because sometimes i will be queued into a match on the US servers as both the South East Asian and US servers belong to the Americas region. As it is impossible to play competitive matchmaking with 300+ ping.

There is no way to do this unfortunately. When you log onto the game, the client will ping each of the different possible servers for the region you are playing in and then assign you to the best one with the lowest amount of latency at that time. If there is a direct disconnection to the closest server geographically, it will route to one that is not geographically closer.

I recommend looking into a VPN service that can route you to a specific server for the best possible ping. I typically recommend killping.com, but I don’t think they provide services internationally.

That’s a bummer. Guess I just have to take the SR loss when I get queued into US servers. I hope Blizzard creates a different region for only SEA servers. Or they add a max acceptable ping setting like CSGO.
