Lately, the connectivity to servers is so volatile. When I first start the game and connection to server is established everything runs fine. 50-70 Latency 20-25 IND.
The moment the game tries to redirect my connection to another server my latency spikes to thousands of latency and same with IND.
I’ve been suspended multiple times mid game due to this issues and all basic troubleshooting I’ve done has not fixed the issue.
It’s the worst in stadium as every map change seems to redirect my connection to another server resulting in me having to quickly restart my game so that I can even play.
Connectivity issues have been rampant in asia servers for multiple seasons. Literally a third of my games there is at least 1 leaver. Blizzard has never and will likely never address this issue because as I understand they made changes to their servers to save money. Dont know if its true but ever since I read it on reddit the disconnections are a regular thing.
You could try changing your login region before playing overwatch if you are using battlenet launcher but im not sure if it will help you much. Worth trying i guess.
I’m also facing this weird issue where my ping at the start of any match is ok(70-80ms)but as the match progresses, it randomly goes to about 180-200ms and stays there for a good part of the match before coming down to the usual values(happens multiple times during a single game), started facing this issue at the end of the last season, it got fixed temporarily at the start of the new season but it has started happening again. I have tried restarting my game, resetting my router and flushing and renewing my dns, but none of this has helped.
Kinda similar to your issue but my ping stays at a higher number for a random interval of time before going back to normal, then again going high and low.
really frustrating, might become the reason where i have to drop this game

It’s in Europe as well. Haven’t managed to play 2 games in a row before the server poops out. And with the idiotic leaver penalty that only punishes people already having a bad time, I need to wait 2 hours again.
