SERVER SELECT - Please Blizzard

Dear Blizzard Support,

I’m writing as a dedicated Overwatch 2 player on PS5 to formally request the addition of a manual server selection option, or at least greater transparency and flexibility in regional matchmaking.

Currently, I am being routed to the Singapore (PSE1) server, where I consistently face queue times averaging 25 minutes in Masters rank (Role Queue). This extended wait is made worse by the fact that the matchmaking system compensates for low population by forcing very wide skill ranges—I’ve frequently seen games where Platinum 3 players are matched with Masters 3, which leads to significant imbalance and frustration for all players involved.

I understand the intention behind automated server selection—to optimize ping and maintain fair matchmaking. However, in lower-population regions like mine, the system is actively harming the player experience. Being able to manually select a server (e.g., routing to Korean or Australian servers) could significantly:

  • Improve matchmaking quality
  • Shorten queue times
  • Allow fairer matches within tighter SR bands

I believe this would be especially valuable for console users, who currently have no control or visibility over their server region. Other competitive games (e.g., Apex Legends, Valorant) offer this flexibility, and it would be a welcome quality-of-life addition to Overwatch 2.

I hope the team will consider this request seriously. I, and many others in Asia-Pacific regions, would greatly appreciate having this level of control and transparency in our matchmaking experience.

Thank you for your time and your continued efforts in improving the game.

Sincerely,

RaniRue

I’m sure doing this will somehow bypass the laws of physics

I’d also like a region selection menu.
Euro players are boring or just dont speak english, this makes team play extremely hard for me.
It’s why i always choose U.S. servers over EU ones. There’s always more players at all times and i dont have to get my ear screamed off just because an middle eastern feels like emptying their frustrations in a game.

i want this , im tired playing with stup brazilians
