For some reason (and its not all the time) when I launch the game im put in very high ping servers. I play in NA and for some reason I’m connected to what i can only assume are EU or Asia servers. I’ve tried playing with a VPN, restarting the game, verifying game files and fully uninstalling and reinstalling the game and nothing has worked. I can only assume this is an OW issue because I don’t have this issue with any other game I play. It’s not a constant issue but when it does pop up it makes the game next to unplayable. Does anyone have any fixes for this?

I also have this issue. B. net launcher is set to Americas, but I’m getting nothing but Asian servers. I thought my normal 40 ping was bad, but this, combined with FPS drops this patch, is really rough.
What is this assumption based on? If you’re on a PC, you don’t need to assume, you easily check by toggling the netgraph with Ctrl + Shift + N.
The server code is the 3 letters at the start of the long hash string. Each set of letters matches an airport code to give you the location.
It’s ctr shift n, not shift shift n.
Anyway, I’m on the east coast and currently on the amsterdam server for no reason.

My assumption was based on the fact that most (like 80%) of the players that were in my lobbies all had names in characters that were either Japanese or Korean. I’m not too sure which (because i dont speak any other language than english lol) and my ping would range from 200-300. But thank you for that tip! I’ll be sure to use it next time so i can really verify where it put me
i have the same problem with SA servers, I have been reporting this problem for 2 months but no one responds
whats even crazier is that people have been reporting on this for YEARS. i only recently had this problem start happeing to me (that i knew of) where for what ever reason I am put in Australian and Singaporean servers while I live in Central US and thats where my internet is based out of lol it literally makes the game unplayable because my ping will be easily around 250-300
