Server lag spike, split into 2 games

Probably the weirdest behavior for a lag spike I have witnessed in this game, about 6 minutes into the game (Anubis), the server held a massive lag spike (400ms steady.) After around a minute of lag, 3 players disconnected from the game, and connected to a game in Busan. I was duo’d with one of the players who DC’d and in a discord call. Their game continued with no backfill appearing. The Anubis game continued and finished, then almost all the players in the Anubis game were dropped into the Busan game, which then proceeded. The players who disconnected from the first game have no history of the game in their account. I didn’t thoroughly check but I don’t believe I received any completion game from the Busan game either.

Two separate replay codes:
Game 1: 68068R (Throne of Anubis)
Game 2: ZQM98X (Busan)

I dont know if this was caused by server issues or player abuse, however, this does at least display some unique behavior for the game reacting to a massive lag spike.

Nice job with reporting and getting both replays.

I had a similar game in qp that happened the Monday night right before the latest patch (the Sep 3rd patch) on Eichenwald. I had saved the replay and was going to report it in case the issue was caused by someone in the match doing shenanigans, but the update the very next day wiped all my replays.

Right before we were going to cap the second checkpoint, things started getting massively laggy and rubber-banding for everyone on my team. We were still able to talk on team voice just fine, and the server put up a valiant effort in trying to continue the game. As far as I know, nobody was actively disconnected, but those that didn’t leave on their own were all eventually transfered to another game, while I and the Hanzo on the other team seemed to be the only ones left on each team. I was able to push the payload to the end, but afterwards, the replay was qualified as a “draw”, despite it being 1-0 (replay stopped right before the lag started happening, which was shortly before we capped the second checkpoint). I was grouped with someone and he told me he and the others on my team got transferred to a completely different map and game, while the Eichenwald game had vanished from record for them. Oddly enough, I was still grouped with him the entire time and after I finished the Eichenwald game, was given the option to requeue right away, even though my other group member was still in another active game. I didn’t try to requeue at the time so I’m not sure what would have happened if I did.
