Server keeps disconnecting

The game is unplayable right now.

I’m being disconnected at random during matches, browsing the menu, and in some cases I can’t even log into the game. At this point, I’m too worried about getting banned, penalized, or ruining my endorsement level, so I’ve stopped playing until this issue is fixed.

I play on PS4 (NA), but I’ve seen reports from people across multiple platforms and regions experiencing the exact same problem over the past few weeks, both on these forums and across Reddit.

Both my game and console are fully up to date. I’ve been playing Overwatch on this same PS4 for 9 years, and I honestly can’t remember ever experiencing anything like this. I’ve tried restarting my router, restarting my console, disconnecting other devices from my internet, and even playing on a different account. None of it has helped. I can’t finish a single match without being disconnected.

Everything was working perfectly until about one or two weeks ago. The disconnects became more frequent after Shion was added, and they’ve gotten even worse since the latest patches.

I understand that connection issues can sometimes be caused by someone’s network, but given the number of identical reports from different regions and platforms, I hope the team will investigate whether there’s a broader issue affecting the servers. At the very least, it would be reassuring to know these reports are being looked into.

Lost Connection To Server Issues

I’ve been having constant dropouts lately, just 3 in the last 10 minutes. No idea what’s causing it but it ONLY happens in Overwatch. Any idea why this is happening other than it seeming to be Overwatchs end and not mine? If it matters, I’m on OCE servers.

Keep getting disconnected mid match

I’m playing Overwatch on PlayStation, and I’ve been having consistent issues where I get lag spikes mid-game followed by a full disconnect from the match. I have been having the same exact issue since the most recent update, with yesterday being the WORSE of all (PS4 NA).

I have tried restarting my console several times, also taking devices off of wifi, changing locations in my house, and even uninstall ing and reinstalling the game. I could play maybe 1 QP game and then the next match, sudden drop with no warning. I tried playing COMP, 1 round would go beautiful, second round id drop out of no where. I could not finish beyond one game. At. All. I got so frustrated and saw that I wasn’t the only one having this issue. But it also doesnt seem like anyone has found a solution?
