this is a rant.
so i am currently all star with supp and we all know the queue times are insane. usually 20+ minutes for me. which is already bad…
but then sometimes,someone doesnt connect,so the match gets cancelled,prio queue? most of the time not because it says “unexpected server error” so you get back to menu,no prio queue,sometimes 35 minutes queue for nothing. great.
today it’s even worse. this time,i was that person that couldn’t connect.
i was tabbed out,when i heard the “found game” sound but nothing happend,the q timer would go on,til it said “rejoin match” on the left side,so i pressed it ofc. and then nothing happend. i panicked and checked my internet - everything is fine. match got cancelled,and i got punished for nothing. not only did i lose a match but also got the 15 minutes punishment. great. so not only did i wait 25 minutes for nothing,on top of that i get another 15 minutes and a loss. AMAZING!
after these 15 minutes,i’d queue again 25 minutes,won the match,queued again 20 minutes,won the match,queued again 22 minutes,i tested out some builds in a custom game that i created,it kicked me to the custom game lobby,i thought i found a game,but the timer would go on,so i thought i heard it wrong or whatever,but it wouldnt let me start the custom game again,i exit the custom game lobby to get back to menu,REJOIN on the left side… are you kidding me?! … failed to join. loss + 60 minutes punishment. this is ridiculous.
as a supp in stadium it feels like … i am basically only waiting. waiting for queue,waiting for team mates that sometimes not connect,get back in queue,waiting again,waiting for my suspension to run out,like whats the freaking point?
also whats the point of that rejoin button that NEVER works unless the game is already at the point of not cancelling? and since i know thats an issue since ow1 (i had this happening YEARS ago,it was so bad that i wouldnt play ranked anymore bc it only happend in ranked - never in qp) i wonder why we still get punished for a match that we never ever got connected to? it makes no sense. there should be a technology that checks if we are loading into that match or are connected in any way.
this is ridiculous.
fyi in total today i played 89 minutes (actually playing) and waited 120 minutes without the 15+60 minutes suspension,so 215 minutes + another 20 minutes for another queue to finally get my 5th!!! game today. SRSLY?! so i basically get 5 matches in 5 hours. while 3 hours i am just waiting. also 2 of those matches are basically for nothing,since they robbed me 200pts aswell. and if i would actually queue again after these 60 minutes (hint-i am not) then who knows? maybe i get another suspension?

edit: after that horrible day,where i didnt play anymore,i tried again the next day and everything was fine. i took a day off from playing ow and today,i login,queue for stadium,get a match in 5 minutes (yay thx for the matchmaking rework!) but then again got the same issue,couldnt join,8 hours suspended. can somebody explain to me,why i am 8 hours suspended? i didnt LEAVE a single game,why do i get punished for something i have no power over?
