Hello, for the last two weeks anytime i queue, i get put on west coast servers with 120ms. Its ridiculous. I normally get east coast games, because well, i live on the east coast. What is the deal? Anyone else? Is it related to all the DDOS attacks?
Players in North America can land on either Las Vegas or Chicago depending on the number of available players in your rank, or simply available players for the mode.
it has been two straight weeks of only west coast games. i find it hard to believe especially when my friends (who live near to me) get east coast servers and i dont.
Are you all using the same ISP? Do you use a VPN? I also live closer to the Chicago server (which is Midwest, not East coast) and all my games are hosted there.
I have a question. Do they have a plan on doing something like an allowance setting for player region locking.
It would be nice to “opt out” of regions since we have leaver penalties now and that some matches we get thrown into are entirely unplayable and a person can basically only hold W until the match ends, since no matter what a player does, a person cant effectively play the match through.
With a tool tip they should add in as
“Opting out of regions may increase Q times”.
I think we need this because you can only leave 2 in 20 matches before the Riot police of Blizzard break out their night sticks and force us from being allowed to Re-q. and sometimes it will just keep putting us in a string of out-of-region matches that are over 100+ms latency.
I have not seen or heard of any plans for this feature. However, it’s best to request it in General Discussion where a forum team collects feedback.
No, but ive tried a few things:
-playing on a different account did not work.
-playing on xbox did (normally on PC)
-playing on the same xbox-linked account on PC did not work.
-nothing ive tried on pc works
-playing on a mobile hotspot instead of my wifi does not work
-i do not use a VPN, i dont know how.
