Wanted to give a shot and try this hero today, I got mad after 5/6 games … since all the matches were 5 people focusing me all the time.

turret behind cover. hide a lot. direct hit most of your nades. if you want a bastion OTP to watch i suggest Playto.

insta switch to him anytime the other team runs rein, your only job is to keep rein’s shield at zero all game, easy win.

You go to hero select and immediately pick Soldier 76, Cassidy, or Ashe instead. Tho stay on the pick if it’s Wrecking Ball since he is the only one that can chew through the adaptive shields and kill him, ideally you want a Zenyatta as support for this.
Oh hell no. I can’t stand those heroes.
My play style is to stay close to either one of the support or the tank… Just beware if they have Junkrat on their team…
Bastions always make me work super hard lol, though I find the more skilled ones have very good instinct to retreat to safety and get their hp re-upped regularly.
I find I have pretty good success with Bastion. The trick is to play him like a coward. Know where your mobile health pac- I mean supports are, always play near cover, don’t be afraid to cancel your transformation if you need speed to run. He’s a very fragile hero, a true glass cannon.

Basically, a weaker Soldier, but with a Pharah Ult on cooldown.
I don’t use my sentry form that often whenever I play bastion. It is because whenever I play bastion, is because the enemy team has an annoying Ball, so I save my sentry form for when Ball dives in. The damage easily scares him away from my team.

the thing with bastion is that you are basically playing a second tank with only 300hp in the sense that the whole ennemy team will want you dead no matter what.
You will actually get focused MORE than the tank.
So you need to keep that in mind and kinda play like a coward while drawing all the attention.
It can totally work in your favor since the ennemy team will ignore your teammates, i’ve won game as bastion by doing pretty much nothing but getting killed but we still won the teamfights because i was drawing all the attention lol. It’s really insane how the playerbase HATE bastion and focus him no matter the cost.
Other than that bastion is good against most of the tanks but DO NOT PLAY HIM INTO SIGMA. His ult is usefull to kill the supports without mobility. He can shredd BOB to pieces, etc…
Bastion is not as bad as people make it out to be, but he is HARD to play and it’s nerve wracking to be focused like a tank

Don’t spam your ult btw. It is used to focus on killing a single target without mobility. put it directly on them, look at the direction they are heading towards, and place the next shot in the direction they are heading. With 3 shots with your ult, you should be able to get a free kill on a slow target.

Yup, but just in general he plays a lot like a “Roadhog against Tanks”.
Like “Oh, I see MrTankGuy moved up too far away from his team and is out of position, lol well get deleted”.
It’s almost unfair against Junker Queens, and uncoordinated Doomfist/Ball mains.

Is your opponent a dive tank? If yes, wait for them to get aggressive, then turret form up and make them regret their tank choice.
If no, go back to spawn and push h.
Yep I agree with the others. You got to play like a coward. Which kind of sucks. If only they would give back is self heal.
