Consistency matters. If you make these interactions too dependent on out of universe logic, players can’t readily tell WHAT the interaction is when they use an ability. It’s dumb, but the logical inconsistency is necessary to keep the game from turning into an overcomplicated mess. (Well, moreso. You get it.)
Which abilities are technology and which aren’t isn’t the point of the post… I’m sure y’all are correct and I’m not on the list of which abilities go on which list.
My point is that Sombra currently counters just everything. To me, she alone makes OW2 not even worth playing at all in terms of it being a fun game to play. Allowing her to just counter literally every hero in the game is what makes her this way… and although many may disagree, I’m very certain that many do agree. It’s a subjective opinion, not a fact, so it’s totally fine that many disagree.
True, but that’s already how OW is. Ashe can coach gun a Ball slam, but not a Doom slam. Ana can sleep almost everyone, but can’t sleep an Orisa ulting. There are a ton of abilities that work on some heroes and not others. People remember them because they have to. The same would go for making these suggested adjustments to Sombra. I agree that it can get too complicated, but Sombra being able to hack a coach gun to me is about as illogical as it gets.
Hmm, I can’t find where I wrote that hack does damage, can you show me? Can’t seem to find it.
