I’m sorry you’re having this level of experience, I cant relate though.
I’ve played roughly 25 hours of ranked this season at a masters level and have ran into one cheater that I’m 90% sure about.
Every ranked session I post my replays of my games to show that I have yet to find one.
Once I do vs a cheater or someone sus I will update my posts but so far its been really rare, compared to a game like Cs2 where there’s a cheater once every 10-15 games almost guaranteed
Remember your experiences do not invalidate others… and data from blizzard as well as cheat providers/streamers and the fact the #1 healer in ladder is actively cheating on bap juno and illari… says that maybe your experiences are the outlier… or diamond+ people soft aimlock and trigger only to confirm kills instead of 100%…
You sound really silly, absurd really. There were just 500k accounts banned for cheating. That’s not a typo…FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND SEPARATE ACCOUNTS found cheating but you say it’s rare. All that tells us is you don’t know what modern cheating looks like.
That’s actually smart, why is this not a thing yet. Microsoft owns many pvp games that all face basically the same issue. This way you don’t have to trust another company with OS privileges.
They could also identify devices very accurately so account switching on the same device is impossible unless you have like a custom Windows installed or the phone number + physical authenticator.
There are definitely cheaters, even in lower elos. The biggest give away is walls, when a widow pre fires as you’re walking up to a corner in stealth as Sombra, then she headshots you while in stealth it’s a bit of a giveaway.
Really late reply sorry, just wanted to say that while cheaters can make it to masters and up to top 500 the likely hood of them being reported sky rockets the more they play around players that know what to look for/ what feels odd/ player movement and game sense not matching aim. You also have a majority of the white listed streamers in masters and above so that when they come across them they are exposed to thousands of people and reported. I think the majority of cheaters are gold - low dia as mechanics can win you games up to this point but without game sense, Ult economy, etc you just can’t climb much higher without blatantly rage hacking. The soft locks, walling, auto abilities all go un noticed or only reported by a few in these relatively low elos.
Also I would love to know if there is a “cheaters que” the same way I suspect there is a “smurf” que. Get reported to many times for either they all get lumped in together to suffer each others company. On my alt accounts I see a increased amount of smurfs and cheaters when compared to my mains. On my mains I see a increased amount of stacks compared to my alts, but that’s a story for a diff day.
I encourage people that say they rarely come across cheaters to make an alt and run it through the ladder To get a different perspective on the game.
