Second match of Part 1 is now in session. Today’s case: Seoul Dynasty vs. Shanghai Dragons, which the two teams put on a show in the May Melee finals. Let’s hope for an equally good match here.
Updated standings:
*1: Guangzhou Charge 3-0 (+4) ^2: Shanghai Dragons 2-0 (+4)
^3: New York Excelsior 2-1 (+4)
4: Hangzhou Spark 1-1 (+0)
5: London Spitfire 1-2 (-2) 6: Seoul Dynasty 0-2 (-4)
7: Chengdu Hunters 0-3 (-6)
Well that’s 3-1 for Shanghai. Seoul literally can’t win Hollywood to save their lives. I don’t think they’ve won on Hollywood once all season. And against Shanghai Dragons no less, it’s as good as over.
Seoul needs some new DPS I think and probably some tanks, too. Profit is a Tracer one trick, FITS is terribly inconsistent. Gesture and Marve1 seem to be just outclassed at times, even when they’re playing their favorite double barrier tanks. And when they venture outside of Orisa/Sigma, it’s usually only to middling success.
To be 100% fair, Genji was played…on one map. Jinmu, who is Chengdu’s Genji specialist, came in and with his nanoblades was able to steal a map away from Guangzhou.
Sadly, the following map Jinmu was subbed out and Chengdu promptly lost.
