Sensitivity changed randomly?

So I’m not quite sure what happened but my sensitivity in Overwatch has lowered drastically, to get anywhere near where I was before I have to play on 4500 dpi and 25 in game sensitivity. I used to play on 1800 dpi and 11.43 sensitivity. I tried all the fixes that were posted online such as uninstalling razer synapse and Geforce Experience. But nothing has fixed it. Please help, aim is way off. This applies to all the accounts that I own.

Hi there PLUSŬLTRA,

I am sorry to hear about the mouse issues you are seeing in game. As this applies to every account, this means it is a computer or client issue, not account based. We can try a few things here to resolve this.

First, let’s blame the client and reset that.

  1. Delete the game cache
    1. Exit the game.
    2. In the Blizzard Desktop Application, click Options and select Show in Explorer.
    3. Open theOverwatch folder.
    4. Delete the Cache file.
  2. Delete the game settings.
  3. Run scan and repair.

Last for now, if the issue is still there, turn off extra programs with a selective startup.

If these do not help, please post back with your DxDiag. it can help us come up with more things to try.

DxDiag:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
  5. Paste the DXdiag into the post, select and highlight everything you just pasted, and hit the “code” button (</>). That’ll make the information much more readable.

I hope to help here my friend.

It appears that you have multiple copies of the driver installed for your mouse. This can happen when you have a faulty connection to your computer (a bad cable, bad USB dongle, bad USB port) and Windows picks up the device a second time and installs the drivers for it again. It’s also possible that when you updated the drivers for it, the old ones were not completely removed.

I also see that you’re having an issue with your GPU drivers, which might have something to do with how the mouse input is being received. I recommend uninstalling them with DDU and installing a slightly older version since the ones for 20-series cards are causing a lot of problems with Overwatch. And also opt-out of GeForce Experience if possible.
