Seemingly random crashes mid-game with Blizzard report

Been dealing with this for months. Game will crash with “application encountered and unexpected error” Blizzard report. I’ve tried just about everything; reinstall just about everything, memtest, GPU benchmark, you name it.

For assistance in this forum, you’ll need to provide system diagnostic files for other players to help you. Follow the instructions from the Blizzard support doc here:

After you have the reports:

  • Upload each one separately to Pastebin.com.
  • Paste the links in your reply.

Note: If you have trouble posting URLs, highlight each link and click </> on the post editor toolbar.

While you wait for assistance, review the Windows Reliability Monitor (Win10) or Reliability History (Win11), which may show you what’s happening in the background to cause any errors.

If you don’t want community help (I don’t work at Blizzard) and require staff assistance specifically, you will need to open a ticket.

DxDiag

Problem signature:
P1: AGSService.exe

Problem signature:
P1: SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic

Problem signature:
P1: Resolve.exe

Not sure if any of these are the direct cause, but let’s review them.

  1. The Adobe service could be interfering, I’m not sure what it’s updating or syncing. Remove from Startup programs in Task Manager.

  2. Spotify overlays are known to cause issues with Blizz games. Remove from Startup programs in Task Manager.

  3. Another player reported an issue with DaVinci Resolve in the Bnet forum, so it’s worth preventing it from loading to test.

Beyond these, you may want to run Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstall the GPU drivers. This is different from a clean install.

I’ve done DDU multiple times. I may try it again if I run into crashes after disabling these apps. I’ve uninstalled Adobe services since I don’t use them. I went ahead and disabled Spotify under startup apps. I couldn’t find Resolve.exe in task manager, so I assume I had it open at the time.

EDIT 03/24:
Ok, disabled/uninstalled all those programs and it seemed fine for about a week, no crashes. Now it’s crashing in the first 10 minutes of game play. Seems to have started back up again after installing most recent graphics driver from March 19th.
