Seeing people shill this hard is actually embarrassing

My point was, that they should OFFSET the seasons, so that yes, you would be able to play her in QP, you would not in comp for the next 2 weeks, when the next set of comp happened.

Yes, and doing an offset still achieves it.

Season 2 happens, New Tank comes out.
Week 1 - STILL a week of season 1 comp, but the tank is now playable for QP, but not comp. Comp can be used to get XP for unlocking.

Week 2 - STILL a week of season 1 comp, Comp can be used to get XP for unlocking. You STILL can’t play tank in Comp.

Week 3 - season 2 comp starts, you can have tank in comp now.

That was the missing link. If you simply instituted the offset without this change then the new hero would have been playable at the end of the season as the only existing requirement was having all heroes unlocked to play comp.

Personally I’d be fine with a 2 week gap as long as there is an unranked mode or if QP uses the comp ruleset.

Nah, people just clown on it when that happens. It has been tried before.

I mean, it was a good idea and all, but the playerbase is… well overwatch players

this adds a whole other set of issues (basically makes you grind to unlock each comp season and the grind gets longer if you miss any) and doesn’t change how qp will still be affected.
really, they were just better off with no hero lock, if competitive fairness was a goal just have heroes unlocked in rank at that point (and just have them greyed out for the first two weeks as usual)

Don’t worry, at least half of us are ironic trolls… the other half though, I have no idea what’s wrong with them

That would work I reckon.

there’s nothing ironic about the big three that shill in every thread. no one ironically nolifes the forums just to tell people to shut up

Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to confuse you. Are you new to english, or new to the internet? I’m glad to help you understand.

In forums like this one, where people debate, make arguments, points, etc., it’s extremely common to refer to an argument as “strong” or “weak”. It doesn’t mean you are actually calling the person weak.

You see, forums are online (this means, on the internet). That means we don’t actually meet each other in person and have no idea if the other people are physically strong or weak. So it wouldn’t make sense to actually call someone else “weak”.

Once you get used to using the internet and improve your tenuous grasp on the english language, you’ll know this stuff automatically. But until then, feel free to ask me any questions you have when you get confused.

My bad. I should have realized it would be confusing for you based on your initial post. I have a bad habit of grossly overestimating the aptitude others in these forums. Ignore me. I’m just a fly on the wall.

If “shilling” is to say “wait until we have the full picture” then you using the term to lightly.

While I agree with the general intent of your post…

The game was announced 3-4 years ago, comes out in 3 weeks, and several things people find concerning have been confirmed. If we haven’t gotten the full picture yet, then there’s probably a reason.

As I mentioned earlier in another thread

What’s been revealed has already been terrible soo it’s not looking great imo.

People have no shame whatsoever. They’re over here talking about burner phones and sharing the cheapest phone plans that might work, getting all mad because their phone numbers aren’t being accepted by Blizzard at the moment. It’s like they can’t bootlick frantically enough.
