See McCassidy is still good without that +25

Hardly a difference and the best nerf McCassidy needed.

He is easydy and mercy makes the problem worse

Cowboy sees more usage and success without Mercy. Because Mercy kinda sucks and people only blame her because they lost a 2v1.

nah after ruining matches with a cheap stun and an OP grenade he can get thrown in the trash for a season or 2 he deserves it

Further evidence to how bogus “muh winrate” arguments are.

The 10 dmg nerf on nade was pretty significant, stopping his 70 dmg bodyshot + 131 nade combo for a kill on most squishes without headshot.

But yeah, he still has pretty good range and can still do the combo with a little team dmg or mercy beam, but i think it was definitely enough to hurt him to drop him a bit out.

Though. The nade nerf mostly killed his onetap nade ko potential. He can still fight in a teamfight, but he’s definitely a lot better without the grenade one tap for sure.

Tbh, i guess without the nade combo he might be fine going back to 225, but if we have that logic, we might as well put lifeweaver to 100 hp 125 shields as well. (225 total).

He’s still a dangerous fella and his gun does pack a lot of the punch. But seriously that one tap combo was just pretty dumb relative to the effort of most other 200 hp kills in a hectic scenario.

(Etc, diving and evading to get a soldier/bap kill while watching ur own bar for 2s. Vs peeking for 0.3s, tapping the first red dot and hurling hail mary grenade onto a payload victim for a 4v5 pick.)

Comp really has made me realize just how much a good pick turning a 5v5 into a healed and snowballing 5v4 to 4v2 can really be. There’s a lot of good heros and mccree’s McOneshot potential didn’t feel right for the character and it was pretty easy to do at close/mid range… But it was pretty dumb.

Giving him 25 hp is probably fair or continuing to look at the nade. I know no one liked flashbang, but 130 dmg nade is too strong, 120 dmg nade is still a rather easy to land ability. But Mccree does bring up major clarity about how big shot characters who rely on shots to kill to balance them can struggle to balance their abilities fairly.

His roll ain’t that good so you can’t really buff that… And you can’t really touch his revolver or nade without swinging back from McOneshot or McTwoshot without a mercy tap. He does definitely have amazing headshot potential on a top 500 or grandmaster McCree main.

But it looks like the breaks between broken at one, meh at two shots is gonna be a permanant balance problem to nade unless they ever wanted to put a crappy 10 dmg over 5s dot on it.

If it hardly made a difference, then how is it

Did you just want him nerfed for literally no reason?

They mentioned they’re thinking about reworking his E to be a longer range ability (and presumably no longer heat seeking) so that his kit is more aligned around his ideal medium range. Right now half of his kit is close range so it’s odd that they gave him a longer range falloff and a health nerf.

If you fan a bit you will makeup for it

Precisely why 5v5 is a colossal failure in comparison to 6v6. A single pick matters FAR and away too much in this game. Game should be 7v7 at a minimum so a single pick or a single bad player doesn’t spell game over so quickly.

His nade also does a little less damage now you have to shoot twice and throw or vice versa
