Overwatch 2 has THE WORST MATCHMAKING SYSTEM OUT OF ALL EXISTING COMPETITVE GAMES the only one that it can compete with is League of Legends. It’s a complete waste of your time and mental health resoureses to play Competitive game mode. HOW MANY TIMES DO OW DEVS HAVE TO DISAPPOINT US UNTILL WE STOP PLAYING THIS GAME?!

I had a near 15 game win streak the other day (with like 1 loss in the middle)
I just had a 20 game loss streak (with 2 wins in the middle)
These are not exaggerations.
I’ve had many complaints about match making in the past. But Jesus h Christ on a pogo stick- this is the most absurd I have seen it.
I want to like season 9. I really do. But this match making is a massive turn away

You do know they did a rank reset right? It’s supposed to be messy this early into a reset. Funny thing is though, I’ve actually found the games have already gotten to be better quality than the past 7 seasons.
Absolutely agree with you man. I came back to ow after seeing all the changes they made in s9 and i was so exited to play again! Balance feels really nice but the matchmaking system is literally a horror game.

They did a rank reset. Not MMR reset. I’m guessing youre not getting top 500 in your matchmaking as a lot of master/diamond players are getting. It’s absurd how they let season 3 boosted GM players play in diamond when they went from gold to gm in 1 season because the rank decay got removed for that one season

Ye i came back to play primarally becasue of the Rank Reset. But what we got was just getting down a rank or 2. Like i was Masters 5 on DPS in season 8. In season 9 i got Diamond 5. So there was no hard reset. And more over than that now a lot of ppl are placed in the same elo pool which creates these massive stomp or getting stomped scenarious almost everygame i play

Normal. They said this would happen. They pushed everyone into two averages. High rank all got pushed to around diamond and low rank got pushed to around gold.
REMOVE THE ALL ROLE CHALLENGE ALREADY. I’m sick and tired of everyone being forced to play something they aren’t good at.

They did a soft MMR reset. Squashing everyone down to Gold 3, which is the average. This makes it easy for players who were Diamond+ to climb, while those in the metal ranks now have a much harder time due to there being more players to sort out.
It’s literally the same system as it was since season 3 or something when they introduced the role delta thingy. The only difference is there was a rank reset so things will be a bit screwed for some time.
I play QP 95% of the time but there is no way I’d play this season with players all over the place right now.

Playing as a support is a terrible experience now. Sure, I have some success playing Zen, or even Lucio but I used to like playing other heroes and some of them are literally broken - i.e Illari is borderline unplayable.
It pisses me off that this is not a new game, devs doesn’t need time to figure it out. This is an old game an dev team is simply incompetent, and the current state of the game shows it. Balance is all over the shop.
I used to take time off from the game when I was bored - but I always liked it. Now I simply don’t feel like playing anymore its this bad.

Its virtually the same as last season. No improvements made there at all.
If Im CONSISTANTLY gettin team with dps with 0 kills …repeatedly. There is a problem with your matchmaker.
The fact I mainly see complains about the matchmaker on the weekends.
So tough it out till it’s slightly less terrible than what it was before? yay!
it was ok for a little while but now its back to stomp or be stomped, every game is either completely unwinnable or so easy it isn’t even fun to play, neither are enjoyable
I haven’t had a single game where it was close or a situation where it’s like I couldve made a difference
now that the dust has settled from this “new patch” people are realising the game is pretty much exactly the same

Quick Play is also horrible. Went on a 6 game win streak. Have a 4 loss win streak composed of unwinnable games. My entire team has 10 kills between them, while our opponents have about 40. Had they decided to not push payload, they could’ve easily gotten 100 kills.
Overwatch and League use the same predatory match making. They test out how many games it take to make you quit. How much time till you are back. People like the top comment get long streaks because they know you’ll play till 20 losses. People like me who quit after 4 clearly one sided matches they keep the losing streak to about 7 matches. Match making isn’t about being competitive its about keeping you playing.
Your mental health? Let’s be honest, when has a billion dollar company cared about player mental health? So it’s basically pick, but never think your losses are not calculated. Every 10 games I get mostly wins and losses (manufactured) and 1 true, skill reliant game. Sometimes 2 if Blizzard feels generous.
But most of the time, it’s a bunch of wins and losses you have very little power to change. Had the enemy Tank stand in one spot and shoot, just to give us a fighting chance (very nice dude). WE STILL LOST (2 of his teamates were enough to take 4 of us on)
