TLDR;

•Armor and damage reduction stacking will be less effective, ie, Fortify and Ram Block

•Orisa will get more Overhealth from Fortify and have a fall-off range buff

•McCass’s Nade will have a maximum range, and his fall-off range will be lowered, but he’ll get more HP…. Again

•Soldier’s Helix will do less damage, and his ult will cost more

•Kiriko’s Suzu will do less healing and no longer have any knockback, but if it cleanses a debuff, it will do more healing than normal

•Lifeweaver will be getting Shield Health, Tree of Life will give Overhealth, and his dash will heal more

•Torb primary fire will have a slightly faster rate-of-fire

•Mercy Damage boost lowered from 30% to 25%

•Doom and Ram’s block will now reduce “Stuck” damage. ie, Cass Nade, Bastion Nade and Tracer Ult

I think he does need the health. McCree is the poster boy for heroes who are annoying, but not too effective, yet people can’t tell “annoying” and “effective” apart. Well, maybe Hog too.

Is it true that the devs said Hog was underperforming, but they nerfed him anyway because of the players? That kind of stuff just seems like bad design.

Prepare to read posts saying she’s still too effective.

What it should say is “we still haven’t figured out why lifeweaver isn’t working and we have to keep buffing him even though it was plain as day that his kit just doesn’t work very well and should get reworked”

So they revert the Orisa nerfs, while still allowing her ult to ignore barriers, nerf the wrong part of Mercy’s kit, make every change possible to. Lifeweaver while still not making his Thorn Volley travel faster, despite the fact they even mention his damage output being sloppy…

Yeah, this is downright stupidity.

Guess people are gonna wish Mercy could break that threshold, when he’s back in every game. Ah well, least he can’t just blow you up anymore. Baby steps, I suppose.

This is also a small Ana nerf, as it reduces the effectiveness of Nano Boost.

Yeah that’s true, I guess Nano-ing heroes with Armor will be a bit less powerful now huh :thinking:

Ana is Blizzard special child and can’t be touched, yet she remains broken, silly world the devs live in.

Some of these feel weird for what is and isn’t done.

Torb’s primary was never specifically lacking.

Nerfing Mercy’s beam numbers will push it from being useful into a ‘never use’ tier. (put it on a resource meter)

Mei’s primary is still abysmally bad. (buff it back to freeze and deal half decent damage, and put it on a resource meter)

Seriously, I’m not entirely sure what they’re doing.

Trying to make the game more popular rather than have you praise its design. Most people dont really care if bad heroes exist, they just want to have fun.

Then it must be embarrassing to see how they’ve achieved neither of these goals.

I know, haven’t I told you that this is the problem. People want to balance for their fun, but they haven’t realized that dumpstering one hero so you can have fun could indirectly buff another her that gets in the way of your fun.

Together, we’ve actually cracked the case on this you know? There’s always a hero people complains about and that’s entirely because people think they can balance for their fun and end up ruining their fun. See Widow and Shields, or making tanks faster paced in OW1.
