During stream Seagulls himself said that new hanzo is very forgiving. If you feed to much or are in the wrong position you have lunge and wall climb to get to safety. His storm arrows are very spammable which a 3 star hero should not have. He said this in his steam
“If im a Dva and im playing against a hanzo right now, im like ooh he popped storm arrow, the burst damage is coming right and im just gonna hold matrix and he just waits. And then im out of matrix and i die.”
Old Hanzo was really punishing if played incorrectly, but now we have a spam hanzo that can tankbust.

So basically Seagull finally had time to play live Hanzo now that Stage 4 is done, and now knows the same things the rest of us have know since he was on PTR.

I think Storm Arrow would still be quite effective if it is reduced to 60 damage per arrow. That’s 300 damage only body shots. You need to make those arrows count, BUT it’s much more consistent damage than what Scatter Arrow had.
Scatter Arrow had a very irregular burst potential. All or nothing.
NOW, with Storm Arrow it very very regular burst potential with higher damage. I think 60 damage is thus the sweet spot. If you headshot a Tracer, still a punch away to kill her.

Thanks, but no. Work on lacking heroes like McCree and Reaper, give A LOT of love to heroes like Mei, Bastion, Torb.
If you want to nerf Hanzo - do it indirectly via buffing his counters or making new ones. But straightforward nerf of a very fun to play hero - hell no.

The only thing I’ve heard him say that I agree with. Hopefully he’ll have as much influence with getting Hanzo nerfed/changed as he did with getting Mercy reworked into the abomination she now is.

Took alot longer than expected for something a pro said to get here. Rip Hanzo I guess. I’m sure if a pro said eating toilet paper increases skill in this game, people would go just as nuts.
But hey, I’m just a mid plat scrub that doesn’t care about pro scene anyway.

Just a few of them complained about Sombra and she was nerfed IMMEDIATELY, with the nerf not even touching the PTR and instead going straight to Live.
Again, they complain she’s weak [ironic] and now she’s getting changes.

I was about to point that out too. He didn’t say hanzo was OP, he said hanzo was very forgiving from making mistake, where old hanzo would heavily punish you for making mistakes.
Like every experience hanzo would say, we prefer the 80 dmg with 4 arrow nerf, being able to one-shot tracer with it.
A hero being overly forgiving while also being so dominant is pretty much what being OP in this game is.

Nope doesn’t really work that way you gotta pray. I mean if they are going to create a image for themselves that they listen to everything pros says that just devalues their decision making like how the forums sees the devs right now. Hard to say.
So buff his counters. Do you really want Winston buffed and Dva buffed? Cause I bet all the supports would hate that.
Nerfing Hanzo would be fine. Just gotta find the sweet spot. My changed would be reverting the speed of his normal arrows and increasing his leap to 7 second cooldown.
