With HDR enabled and screenshots set to 1x quality, they appear fine as jpg files. When increasing the quality level with HDR turned on, the format changes to bmp and the screenshots appear very washed out.
It would be great to be able to choose the file format I want the screenshots to output to (jpg, bmp, png – maybe even display the output resolution based on current settings of resolution * screenshot quality) and to be able to choose if I want HDR enabled for the screenshots or not.
I just got a new monitor that supports 4k and HDR and I noticed the very same issue : Overwatch screenshots are washed out and weirdly bright.
It is clearly related to Overwatch 'cause screenshots I took from other games with HDR (for instance Elden Ring) are super clean in terms of quality.
This needs a fix ASAP and can’t be happening in 2024, especially when HDR is set to become the norm in the future.
