Hello, I know there have been a ton of posts in the past regarding this issue, BUT I haven’t seen any posts with the answer. Anyways, mid game my screen keeps going black. It will start at the side or corner of the screen then just kind of wipe over the entire screen. I can see the outline of all the characters in the match, they are outlined in red. And if I hit escape the menu looks completely normal. When I back out of the match the lobby looks fine. It is starting to happen about every other match and its driving me crazy. I tried lowering my specs but that did not help. If anyone knows what is going on please help!! Is this a sign of my gpu dying?
P.S. my pc is not overclocked. I have a good frame rate (115fps) and both cpu/gpu temps are low, hover 40C and 60-70C. It only happens with Overwatch.
The troubleshooting in this guide may help:

Also if you use any Razer branded devices, might make sure Razer Synpase is updated to Razer Synapse 3.
Let’s look at a DxDiag first.
Click here to show/hide DxDiag instructions
- Press Windows Key + R, then type DxDiag and press Enter.
- In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
- Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save.
To add it to your reply here:
- Open the text file and copy all of the text.
- Paste the text in your reply.
- Highlight the pasted text and click </> on the post editor.
If your DxDiag does not fit in one message DO NOT shorten it. Instead, post it on Pastebin.com and provide the hash code (the numbers/letters after the .com) in your reply.
What are you using to monitor these? The on-screen averages or a third-party app?
Just wanted to add this here! @DeadlyMouse, you mentioned that the computer isn’t overclocked. Would you happen to know for certain that the hardware is not Factory Overclocked at all? If so, could we check with a screenshot of HWMonitor while running the game. Use an image sharing website like imgur and paste the URL between two ` (~ key) like so:
`Link Here`
The only reason why I bring this up is that factory overclocked cards like Strix cards is often overlooked. If you have a Nvidia card, try checking if the Debug mode is available to turn off the factory overclock.
