Saying "Innocent until proven guilty" has more weight here

What i mean is that this allegation is not a Twitlonger with low quality Discord images and audio files, this is a lawsuit filed by a state with 29 pages and 2 years of evidence which impacted multiple employee.

Its true that some abuse and harrassment accusations turned out to be false in social media history but this time we have to think twice if we want to jump into conclusions.

Ah, but what if I don’t want to believe it, OP? It can’t be true in that case. Check. And. Mate. :chess_pawn:

I just read the full report… I legit can’t believe what I just read.

These people are disgusting.

A Blizz spokesperson came out & said that the report is filled with lies & falsifications & that they’ll demonstrate that in court…

Anyone just believing this report without seeing the evidence & knowing all the facts is a fool. While these allegations wouldn’t be made lightly, Blizz wouldn’t come out and call them liars without the ability to prove it either.

We have no idea how much of it is even true. You should reserve judgment until we know the facts, not just allegations.

Yeah, but that also shouldn’t mean we immediately jump to the conclusion that all of it is true just because “big company bad”

not saying I’m defending them, just saying I’m not gonna make judgements until everything happens y’know

A 2 year investigation by the state, confirmed by 20 ex blizzard employees after it was announced… and Blizzard attacks state bureaucrats in a staggeringly embarrassing response. Yeah, it is obvious to anyone with half a brain that it is absolutely true.

why would an entire state lie? the blizz person said that because they don’t want to get sued which is OBVIOUS

Meanwhile, a Spokesperson came out saying the report is full of lies & falsifications & that they’ll demonstrate that in court.

Like I said, anyone with half a brain knows we need to hear more. There are 2 sides here

It’s not really “the entire state”. A group of people created this report & conducted the investigations. Why they would lie? I have no clue. Maybe they aren’t, I never made a claim one way or the other.

Why is it so hard for people to wait and see what Blizz has to say? Blizz essentially called them liars, so, lets see how they can demonstrate that like they said they would.

TFW when you “amplify underrepresented voices in the games industry” only for them to try to nuke you from orbit a minute later.

you do know you are not as morally superior as you think you are?

god, this argument is so tiresome, i bet you think blizzard is a sjw company because they announced a character is gay and flaunted diversity hires for pr.
Truth is it’s just a front, companies dont give a crap about that, but you people will conflate actual people fighting for causes with clickbait headlines.

OMG give it a rest! I stand by Blizzard! Everyone knows it was called the Cosby room because that’s where the Jello pudding cups were kept!

Okay?

I don’t know what this even means.

Yeah, I guess we’ll have to wait to see Blizzard’s full response.

Just so you understand “Innocent until proven Guilty” applies only to criminal court.

Op’s a bit off the context.

This is Civil court matter. All the state has to do is show enough evidence to convince judge or jury that where there is smoke there is fire.

California is notorious for huge penalties in sexual harassment matters.

Activision-Blizzars should make a head of department fall on their sword to eat some big settlement fines from their salary.

If the allegations turns out to be true that might be a wrap for the brand name of Blizzard.

See if they make it to a courtroom first.

There’s no such thing as “fake support” for a cause; one either either expresses approval or opposition.

These Blizz fanboys defending their fav company.

So weird.

Beyond that, it seems like defenders want us to keep shoveling Activision-Blizzard our money until proven guilty. That’s not how capitalism works. I can for any reason stop supporting a company. And this is a darn fine good reason.

What’s weird is how many people are hopping on the “down with Blizz!” bandwagon before knowing all the facts.

Complaints say this happened. Blizz says it didn’t happen & they will prove it.

Anyone passing judgement now is a fool, as I’m sure none of you would like if I accused you of something and you had no chance to defend yourself. You should look up due process, and try to figure out why it’s important to defend for everyone, because one day it may be you on the chopping block.

I’m guessing most or all of the people who don’t understand why giving Blizz a chance to defend themselves is crucial in understanding all of this are probably still in middle or highschool. Considering that, it’s not surprising why those same people are so quick to think that anyone saying Blizz should have a chance to defend themselves are somehow defending Blizz. It doesn’t take much to realize no one is defending what Blizz might have done. All anyone is saying is “lets see what they have to say, and what the evidence shows” and for some reason, people are getting triggered by that  This community is something else.
