Once upon a time I mained Orisa. Long time ago, when I was new to OW, it was my first shooter. I started with Zarya, then Orisa, then moved to support when they nerfed shields, and have stayed in support.
I’m saying goodbye to old Orisa this week by flexing. Playing tank about 60% of the time. Entirely Orisa, so far, but I should fit in some Zarya, too. I’m afraid to tank in OW2, so I probably won’t play her, either.
Anyone else playing more Orisa than usual? I’m seeing her a lot, but it could be my imagination.

Orisa in OW2 is more engaging. No more pop barrier, it breaks, pop again repeat “gameplay”.

I mean you can play Orisa aggressively really well. You can just walk up on people (when appropriate) and delete them with headshots. If you are sitting back on Orisa all the time on the payload you aren’t playing her right… she is very effective at taking space slowly and methodically playing her aggressively, the only problem is if your other tank is garbage making it a 2v1.
Anyway, side note, but does anyone else find her bullets/gun mechanics a downgrade in OW2? I can aim pretty well with her in OW1 but in OW2 it was really hard to aim her gun for me, and idk why. I mean I know that OW2 has massive sensitivity issues (was hard to aim on everyone in the beta compared to OW1 because the aim felt off) but specifically for Orisa i found it super hard to aim. Also, her overheat sucks and feels too short. Also, the rework made her an objectively worse tank (probably her and hog worst tanks in OW2), she just dies to everything lol.
I have been playing Orisa as a rush tank, makes me wish I could see the enemy teams faces when they see a speed and damage boosted horse charging them down and yanking them from their hidey holes, some of the most fun I’ve had as tank for a while in overstun.
I’m serious give rush Orisa a try it’s very fun and you can take so much space.it can also prepare you for her more aggressive playstyle in ow2.
Yeah they gave it falloff range, so you basically have to brawl at mid-ranges, which isn’t an issue, but she’s still projectile WITH a spread, and MOST projectiles in the game don’t have falloff, (only Hog does go figure). I hope they change that in the future
And while I know she technically has infinite ammo, when your aim is sub-par, or you have fast moving foes, it feels like you heat up way too quickly trying to kill something in a hectic fight unless you popped Fortify. Really relied on Javelin stun to land headshots. Not the worst, but wish it wasn’t a necessity

Well, I’ve been playing her all evening, and I don’t get to just chill. Everyone picks on Orisa. She has to keep within ducking distance of cover, and she has to make her shots or they will make her.

I am kind of afraid of getting false reported for playing a tank the people hate, namely Hog. Being all alone makes it so that the other two groups will likely blame you for the misgivings of the match.

Biggest benefit of 1 tank per team is that they feel amazing to play now. Love how tanky all of them feel and how much they feel like the ‘core’ of a team.

I have been hearing that more and more. I guess because Kiriko enables him very well. But I am not sure how long that will last. It is more of a perception issue than what is or is not reality. I would likely do fine on him. But people would not see it that way.

Bonus points if you play aggressive rush Orisa while spamming “do you need a hug”
I mean yeah - that’s how all tanks work in OW1, except like ball. Everyone has to use cover so it isn’t really an Orisa specific issue.
I was playing Zarya a week ago and received beat drop from our ally Lucio. Immediately as I got beat drop health I was hooked shot comboed by hog and arrow-fanned by hanzo and died literally instantly.
I forgot that most people aren’t used to being flamed every time they do something wrong
But yeah I can understand that, but it shouldn’t get in the way of you having fun. People don’t care as much as you think they do. Worst comes to worst, hide chat. That makes the experience better a lot of the time (since honestly chat does not bring any value).
No hes great in ow1… I dont think he is in ow2.
Maybe when there is openq and 3 dps. Idk.

OW1 Orisa is the most boring hero in the game.
I think she’s more fun than Soldier and Mercy at least

Oh, I do not care what people say. I used to be a Widow one trick. I am not sure if you have ever tried it, but people get unbelievably angry, ha ha ha…
No, I am concerned I will get x number of reports from salty players and get auto-banned. It is just not something I want to risk until I see what happens to other people first. Lol.
