again, you’re aware that the game you’re bigging up in every post is a sequel because “Classic” that you say is not sustainable was so unbelievably successful for 6 years, right?

It’s like you forget that it was THE ACTUAL GAME before they binned it for this trash we have now.

Sure, then have the entire team forced to take it seriously. Why should I have to stay when “it’s only QP bro” is going 1-19 running solo into 5 players because he’s “trying to learn” but will report you for actually trying to teach him how to learn? They’re contradictory ideologies, which you ignored in favour of an agenda… How surprisingly basic of you.

Sorry but, are you delusional or just ignoring the actual facts? The game is dying. The only people who think this game is in any kind of decent state are people that didn’t play it when it was actually good.

They’re bots, there are no humans in the GM team anymore, they were removed from duty for budget cut reasons.

I feel like if they revert anything they should also revert player endorsement to if they fix any of this and make it so friends cant endorse each other that way we get lvl 5s who actually had to earn it by playing well

I get you’re acting like an idiot here, but I’ll educate you.

Classic OW is a limited time game mode that is focused around a specific point in Overwatch’s history. This is how Blizzard has marketed it. For that reason it is not designed to be a permanent mode, because every time the event returns, it is returning to a different stage in Overwatch’s history.

The event that just passed, for example, was Overwatch how it existed when it launched. You only had access to the heroes that were available at launch, using the abilities they had at launch, on maps available at launch, with balance tuned to how the game was at launch. Which means every single post-launch hero wasn’t playable, including Ana, who was the first post-launch hero to be added to the game.

The next time OWC is coming around, which is sometime during the upcoming season, will be exploring Overwatch history during the Moth Meta, which means we’ll likely be playing in a snapshot of Patch 1.15, a significant jump forward from Patch 1.0. More heroes will be available, such as Ana, Orisa, Sombra, Doomfist (as DPS) and Moira. More maps, such as Junkertown will be available etc.

Then OWC will go away again for a while and the next event will explore a different meta, such as GOATS or Double Shield etc, each one a snapshot of what Overwatch was like during the past.

Meaning if they want to keep doing OWC as they are doing it now, it can’t be a ‘full time’ mode.

here is the problem, neither microsoft or blizzard care for overwatch, is a lost cause, if microsoft closed tango studio, the last studio that made a good game exclusive for xbox was closed, what makes you think they care for overwatch? they dont close it just because dumb people keep buying skins

I never said I had a moral highground. I implied that the game is less annoying when you are afraid to speak. You can keep crying about it here. That’s whatever. But you can’t do it in-game anymore. Or, at least Blizzard has made you believe that.

Overwatch has literally gotten multiple seasons since the Microsoft buyout. If neither Microsoft nor Blizzard cared about the game, then development on it would have spun down or ceased entirely.

Are you people living in an alternate reality to the rest of us or something?

read the rest. microsoft just owned overwatch and they fire everyone and the content became crap, the only content we got this year is what was announced already in blizzcon 2023 made long before the microsoft buy, when they had the full team of developers working on the game, after hazard what will happen, when was the last new event we got? a real new event, new mode with lore and challanges? not the scraps of pve on regular overwatch modes with nothing to offer, the game gets money to survive, not to fund the game and do anything, ow2 is just another game

They literally did not do this.

There were some layoffs that hit the Overwatch team, notably on the PvE side, which is what led to players claiming that the PvE side of Overwatch 2 was officially dead. But the PvP side has constantly been getting updates. Since the MS buyout we’ve had 4 seasons, with a 5th launching this week. Those seasons have added new game modes, new maps and new heroes.

The game is doing fine, refocused on what matters which is the PvP. Maybe they’re holding onto PvE stuff for later, or they’ll find a way to reuse it, but for now PvP is the focus and the game is doing well.

Yes, some, not that many. Almost all on the PvE side of the team. This has been confirmed.

They focus on the PvP because that’s what the core game is. It’s a PvP game. It’s always been a PvP game. From the moment Overwatch launched in 2016 it was a PvP game. The push for PvE was the Overwatch team’s attempt to relaunch the failed MMO, Project Titan (which became Overwatch), through Overwatch.

The developers wised up to the fact that the PvE was significantly dragging the team down and preventing them from focusing on what made the game the hit that it is, which is why they cancelled the Hero Mode before Overwatch 2 even launched.

Literally explained this. Since Overwatch 2 launched we’ve gotten multiple new heroes, new game modes and new maps. That’s all content, which have been added in patches. This idea that ‘patches aren’t content’ is just you being stupid.

Not even close, but hey keep living in that alternate reality of yours. Recent reviews have actually pushed Overwatch 2 up to ‘mixed’ on Steam. Not that user reviews matter in the slightest.

not so many yet game is crap, there is no substantial content and pvp keeps sucking

that was overwatch 1, overwatch 2 was pve, we got neither pve or a good pvp

and overwatch 2 damage suffered by this will never recover, they lost all popularity, credibility, a lot of the playerbase, and a lot of workers because ow2 is a failure

overwatch 1 was a hit, overwatch 2 is a miss

all made in the content drough, and is basic content no worth the death ow1 and ow2, the real content is not there, there are no pve, story, new events, comic, cinematics, everything that made ow special, unique and what ow2 was going to be, so ow2 will always suffer from lack of content, and the last new mode was used with stolen assets from a better mode, nothing new, they just copied team fortress again. new patches arent content, specially when they are bad and dont want you play

the reaality is that overwatch is the most disliked game on steam and everyone is angry with the lack of pve and no direction the game have, you are the one coping saying game is fine

Funny, it’s been functioning pretty well for 13, almost 14 seasons now.

I feel like some of you folks are genuinely living in an alternate reality and in your reality Overwatch is indeed broken or dead, and somehow you’re confused that the version in this reality, actual reality, is functional and not dead.
