If you say anything in a sarcastic tone, people will get offended and flag it as trolling. Actually saying anything at all may offend someone in todays age. We’re all doomed.

It’s very difficult to pull off sarcasm on the Blizzard forums. We see the most outlandish posts daily by people who are completely serious. Did you remember to tag your posts with <sarcasm></sarcasm>? You can also use /s for short.

the forum software is crap and mods can ban at will… just like youtube many will “review” and ban anyway.

The definition of trolling over time has been damaged or improperly amended in their minds.
Trolling is taking a thread too far off topic.
Trolling reports are not to be used like this…
A way to end a lost argument or debate,
Don’t like this guy,
Don’t understand,
Report the OP for trolling on his own thread.
This one is the worst abused reporting of trolling.
How can the OP troll his own thread? It’s their thread.
The forum participant that read the original OP thread simply doesn’t understand or like the OP at all.
So they report for trolling displaying their own ignorance to the definition of trolling.
They are the trolls!
They invade threads that they don’t understand or don’t want to actively participate in.
They just may want to have fun disrupting the thread just to amuse themselves.
To me, that is trolling.
A forum participant thread invader that has nothing to contribute to the thread except to disrupt it.
I don’t mind a debate on my threads.
That is healthy for the thread.
But…just to arrive on my thread, read it, and the VERY FIRST POST they go, “This guy is a troll” and then report?
That is wrong.
Trolling reports should BACK FIRE if they use the trolling reporting improperly.

and just filter out the 200 or so words/variations they feel are just unacceptable no matter wut.
nevermind the ethics, i’d take it for the content luls alone.
