Unlike antarctic research station which i hated upon release (but like now) i loved samoa from the start. I feel like its a really well designed map. What do you guys like or hate about it?

I agree. The points feel balanced for all heroes and in general very chaotic.
I’m not a fan of Control but I like this one.
Not only is it visually gorgeous, but the map layouts are pretty balanced IMO. I’d sacrifice Antarctica for this one lol

It’s a banger. Second favorite control map next to Busan.
I still hate Antarctica with the fire of a thousand suns.
But Samoa is awesome. Love playing this map almost as much as King’s Row or Eichenvalde. So definitely in my top 3.

I’ve only had it appear a couple of times so far but it seems pretty cool?
Only got it twice so far and I disconnected during 1 of those games, but it seems really good, and I say that as somehow who hates King of the Hill
I think antartica way waaaay too complex but after i got used to it i started liking it espec as old sombs
Wanna know why it’s so good? It’s the first post-launch Control map (including OW1) that has the dropship spawn rooms. 
But really, it’s a very beautiful map. Very interesting. I’ve only gotten it once, but it was pretty dang fun.

Samoa might be my favorite map 
For some reason I feel like everything that’s good was in the vault that was supposed to be for OW1 lol. Mauga already existed in the lore, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the old dev team worked on Samoa awhile back. Samoa is leagues ahead in the design compared to the new dev team maps.

Seems like another garbage koth map where every piece of cover has like 3 flanks. It at least has high ground near point so it’s already better than most koth maps

True not everyones gonna like it. Ive been playing lots of sombs and its been fun. Imma guess youre a widow main? Whats your thoughts on that ledge window vantage point with the huge drop off? I thought that was a neat spot but havent widowed in a long while.
I like to play widow but I did not play her on Samoa. I played support for 3 games. I think my least favorite point is the one with the cliff next to point.
I’m not sure which ledge you’re talking about. I did see an Ana get to this one high ground but I don’t know how she got there.
Maybe the games are just awful because Sombra is awful to play against and every game had her ofc 
I think I’m quitting the game until people stop playing Sombra every game
Every time I’ve gotten it (twice), we either had a hog who missed every hook and preferred flanking or a ball who was adamant about playing into orisa, ana, illari, sombra, and bastion. Fun times
I hate control so much but this map really changed my view on it, very beautiful map and fun to play on.
i like the new map, but i hate how rare it is to encounter it.
I’ve only played Samoa once so far but it’s a very straight forward map, you just run for 10 seconds and you’re at the point on any of the 3 maps.
