I think it’s just a visual shorthand cue to say ‘this isn’t me, this isn’t my clip, this is a reaction vod.’

Noobhunter used to post clips only, but there was some policy change on YT to fight leech content and now they require you to at least “react to it”. That’s why he started putting his face and saying couple words per compilation, basically avoiding getting demonetized

This game is very addicting. Maybe sometimes they’re serious when they say they quit. Then the addiction draws them back in. Just like the thousands of players on the forum that posted here that they’re quitting and still play.
Of course they’ve got the added hurdle that their income is tied to the game. Do people watch Flats for OW2 or for him? I imagine if he started streaming another game like Apex and quit OW2 he’d lose well over half his viewers.

Overwatch is perfect for people with ADHD because the stimulation is unmatched in CS:Go like games. Also it has poor competition (basically winning the niche of hero shooters even with all it’s problems, it not another CoD or CS clone). If there was some serious competition I think only then they would quit. They want Overwatch to thrive and they get frustrated that it’s bad for high elo players. But they don’t quit because there is nothing better like Overwatch.

I agree. I’m a former TF2 and CSGO player, it’s really the most addicting aspects of those games combined.
I think Team Fortress 3 would decimate Overwatch’s playerbase but it’s probably not happening.
If I made a compilation montage of every Overwatch streamer babyraging and saying insensitive things, you would actually die of old age before you could reach the end.
Please stop pretending like this man is any different from any of the other streamers just because of your own personal quarrels with him. Lol

I used to play TF2 for around 2k hours before I got on Overwatch train. It felt like being at home and I loved it for a long a time. But the game got neglected kinda like TF2. Not to the same degree, OW wasn’t abandoned outside of the period when they were developing OW2. In OW2 we got fairly frequent patches. What is awful in OW are the quality of those patches, they just suck xd.
TF2 was absolutely amazing game but one can only play for so long if there is no new content. If a tf3 would come out or ANYTHING multiplayer like that from Valve it would be death for OW. TF2 was mindblowingly good.

If the ideas cause enough people to leave, the rest of the devs are just going to continue to get fired, it’s that simple. Hopefully for their own sake, they realize they don’t have an infinite amount of “failures of common sense” mistakes left.
They’ll figure out which audience/group to “listen to” and primarily design the game around. If not, they’ll be cleaning out their desks so the next person can. This game is Samito’s job, not the other way around. People like him and Flats seem to think the game should warp around them so they are always good instead of adapting to the changing game or playing something else.
