I get it, gooners pay the bills. Except they don’t, the people who play the characters and buy skins for them do. Kiriko is a character that exists and just because you make a different character into Kiriko doesn’t mean that those people will go and buy skins for her, considering her kit, personality, and lore are all different from Kiriko. You can appeal to people who like cute characters with a wide range of differing appearances that all fall under “cute”, so if you want to make a cute dps, make a cute dps, don’t dress Kiriko up in a costume.
Also I’ve seen people saying that Anran looks like Kiriko or Juno, which is really emblematic of just how bad this is. They all look so similar they all mush together.
It’s even worse because you already showed us Anran’s face, in the Elemental Kin cinematic, and there is no way you are going to tell me that is meant to be the same woman. Please just use the previous design, I swear to you, she’ll still sell skins like hotcakes.

The Devs done goofed on Anrans face! I cant even imagine how China feels right now…
I don’t necessarily mind that she looks similar to other heroes, the thing that bothers me most is that her look doesn’t really feel appropriate for how she’s been previously described. The impression I, and I think most others also got was that she was meant to be a more serious character, but her outfit and face in-game just make her seem kinda overly cutesy more than anything else, and I find that really disappointing, since I was kinda looking forward to her based on her appearance and personality from the comics and whatnot.

Im on that side of the argument. I dont mind if she looks like Juno, my Main Support, the main issue I have is her new face isnt consistent with her lore and personality. And for Blizz focusing back on the Lore, thats a big problem.
