Ok so i know about the account merge which is like transfering all your stuff (skins,items,highlighted intros etc) from OW1 to 2 (which is by the way im still in queue taking such a long time bruh 
) but this might be a stupid question, i just had to confirm and ask… So i mainly play OW on xbox one but now since it’s free to play now i can play it on PS4 so could i play it on ps4 with my same account like with same hero unlocked same skins and everything? (Kinda like how fornite is for example you can play on different platforms and sti have your skins stuff on one account)
Account merge was actually for cross-platform accounts, so the merge option is for your situation with ps4/xbox.
You can definitely play on both with your one battle.net account, but you’ll need to create the ps account and then link it to your battlenet account. Keep in mind that because it’s gonna be a new ps account, you can share your xbox cosmetics with the ps account, but anything you buy/earn on the ps account won’t be shared back to your xbox account.
