S3 Balance patch

What do you think will happen in tomorrow’s balance patch?

Will it actually shake things up or will it be just minor number changes and heroes played will be the same as S2 (Orisa, Kiriko, Mercy, Sojourn).

Will Sombra and Mei still be the worst dps heroes?

Will Brig be the worst support by far in the game?

Orisa nerf
Sojourn nerf

The rest of it kinda depends on whether the devs want to go fast or slow.

I think they should go fast, so the main stuff is done before before the next OWL season starts

I’m guessing minor changes to 3, maybe 4 heroes.

What I want is

Widow - HP reduced to 150. (175 was balanced for 6v6 but would be too strong in 5v5)
Sojourn - removed crit from rail gun
Mercy - GA CD increased by 2 seconds
Orisa - javelin CD increased from 6-8 seconds / spin increased from 7-8.

Orisa nerf is the only one I am seriously hoping for. No point in hoping for a soujourn nerf because they’ll screw it up somehow.

I’m not gonna lie i actually don’t feel like they’re gonna nerf orisa. I just have a very bad feeling that they won’t

Drink? I think this counts.

I hope for interesting changes. These past two seasons have been underwhelming balance wise for existing heroes.

What I want - Dva buff

What I’ll get - nothing

5 more bullets to baptiste
increased junkrat’s minimum grenade damage to 30
sojourn gets a slight cooldown nerf to her slide but for compensation she gets extra crit damage on railgun

roadhog reworked in the dumbest way possible, but it has been delayed to season 4

I’m thinking

Orisa nerf, probably a nerf to Fortify’s duration by 1s or cooldown by 1s
Ramattra movespeed nerf during nemesis form, from 20% buff to 15%
Sojourn nerf, 1s longer slide cooldown

Beyond that? Honestly no clue

junkerqueen buff for sure

gonna cry 2 seconds too much to think in how to use it??

Soj and Orisa buffs & Sombra and Brig nerfs.

A big wall of text explaining how they fixed matchmaking…

Only to log in and after a few matches realize the improvement is negligible

You those two to get nerfed?

I just want them to be brave enough to actually do something about Sojourn and Orisa. They can’t leave Sojourn broken/OP for another season.

The latter.

Yes, and I would also add Bastion to that list.

Yes, for the same reason why the Dps’ers above are being kept weak.

I have no idea what we’ll see. I think I want to try to temper my expectations and assume it’ll be more subtle adjustments further towards their rework goals (assuming they don’t implement any reworks this season, but I hope so). It is the start of a new season so they may surprise us in ways we might not expect, or go further beyond what they have been doing lately. It might also be just as confusing, head scratching or disappointing if they have other ideas in mind with whatever future plans we don’t know are in store. I notice some hero names are being brought up that I think don’t really need much change and probably just need “more space” so to speak to excel in rather than many raw buffs or big reworks. I think I feel I prefer toning down other heroes to allow them to be an option cause I do worry about constantly creeping up heroes that would have been just fine if other things aren’t in the way.
