S2 Mythic Skin could've been best way to boost up sup count

Devs clearly dont care about supports at all. Season 2 Mythic Skin could have been the best way to boost up declining support count. Yet they made the most popular role even more appealing. Even the new themed skins have only 1 support in it. 3 tank skins and 1 DPS. My role feels extremely neglected. All we can go on is the copium of “we promise fixes”. Cant help but feel frustrated.

If devs did not care about Support then we would not have 2 of the next 3 heroes being Support which totals to 3 out of 5 hero releases being Support. The victim complex that some people have is just staggering.

2 supports until next April. They are not coming back to back. Not to mention supports have the smallest hero pool in the game.

Its less a ‘victim complex’ and more that they can keep saying they’ll fix support in the future, and making promises, but many supports have already left the game and uninstalled.

If they want those supports to not drop out, they’re gonna need more than promises.

My initial guess was they were going to have a Reinhardt or Mercy Mythic Skin. I was wrong, but I do like the Junkerqueen one. I’m guessing supports will have a mythic Skin in Season 3, since season 1 was damage and season 2 is tank.

Since they made that promise Supports have received massive buffs are getting 3 out of 5 hero releases, and generally most changes have directly benefited them to the point where the Support role is unquestionably the strongest role (though the Tank is the strongest player).

Basically it is exactly a victim complex. Support players are the equivalent of the child getting a new backpack, higher allowance, new shoes, and gets to choose where to eat dinner, but because the other child got to order first you think your parents hate you. That is the mentality of this thread right now.

Fixed that for you…

What? Do you think Junkerqueen is a dps or something? No, fam. She is a tank. I know it might not seem like it when her hitbox is smaller than Zen.

This screams gaslight.
Supports such as Brig, zen and mercy are not even being played as much since they have been trashed so hard. Zen being a victim of the flanker meta with Genji and sombra dominating.

Supports are still the least amount in the game compared to tank and dps. Not even close to tank right now. so this “3 out of 5” thing is BS

And what changes have benefited supports? They are still the prey and dps are the predator. This is a FPS not a MOBA, everyone should have the ability to kill not just dps and tanks.

This just screams gaslight and entitlement, you can see they get trashed on and yet you insist that support players are just crybabies for complaining about the state of supports. You clearly don’t main support, and you clearly don’t know what supports have to deal with

Tank is hardly the most popular role, that honor goes to DPS. Even Junker Queen is one of the least popular Tank heroes.

Bro, he thought passive out of combat healing was a HUGE buff. That should have indicated his overall skill level enough for you to just ignore his post. No need to feed it.

What happened to making support feel better? In their balance changes they only mention Mercy, Ana and Kiriko.

My guess is that Mercy is getting some kind of buff, Ana is a tossup, and Kiriko is most likely getting nerfed.

I know they said they would have more changes coming in season 3, but what will their excuse be then?

oh no HEALER GET SELF HEALING IS TOO BIG REEE IF ONLY I KNOW HOW TO CLICK HEAD

this is true actually should have been a support and mercy would have been a good candidate. although i bet they already had this planned out so it would have been more WORK to change

It is a shame that the mythical skin was for a NEW HERO, when the mythical skins should be for THE VETERANS.

Amazing OW Team, not money for your.

I fail to see how a skin would boost support player count

I just really really, really hope the amazing new Kiriko skin isn’t some twitch drop thing. I would hate to have to make an account, link it, and then put random streams muted on background while playing just to get a skin. Seriously…

I mean I’m all for letting people who enjoy streamers unlock cosmetics, but then they should be available via the game / shop too. Nothing seems more counterproductive to a game than requiring you to NOT play, to get a skin. :no_mouth:

People who want to play OTHER roles but can’t because the queues are so awful are the actual victims.

DF buffs are great and all, but not when it’s going to be 10+ mins to queue as a tank in QP in S2…

Ah yes, that’s why Support’s queue time is the longest…owh wait.

Even though this makes little sense.

Firstly, there is no obligation that a mythic skin should be for the original cast only or for veteran players. A mythic skin is for everyone, old or new.

Secondly, being a veteran does not mean you will not be touching the new heroes. Been playing OW since season 2 and Junker Queen is the only fun tank for me. I dropped Rein to play her instead, who was my main tank back in OW1.

Lastly, if you are a veteran player then you would probably have a lot of skins already. These BPs are primarily targeted to new players starting out. It is just extra stuff for old players anyway.
