Season 10 is ending very soon.
So, how was your experience? Am I the only one who’s thinking that climbing got really hard? Normally I always played in Masters as Support. Sometimes I fell down to high-diamond, but i’ve climbed back very fast.
…but in this season. I dont know.
I didnt change a thing - played like all the seasons before. But this Season felt weird. I had a lot of HUGE loss streaks. It felt like, im in this “Loser-Bracket” with People who having the same experience as me. I know…this shouldnt be a thing, thats why it just felt like this.
Now I fell to almost Plat 2. The last time I was plat with support was like…2018 in Overwatch 1. I’m tilted not gonna lie LMAO.
So - what do you think?

comp this season was 100% the worst its ever been, especially with the new rank system. the game feels like its rigged to 50/50 win loss, but it doesnt favor 50/50 in the slightest. you lose way more than you gain so everyone has been deranking like crazy, even though i preform really well almost every game. really hope they fix this
Fine. Played less than normal. Won some games, lost some, most games fairly chill. Sometimes a few Wang’s got gobby and kill the vibe.
Standard OW stuff
What if you found out that it was literally impossible for the game to force that (because it can’t) how would that change your perception?
I like how when I solo queue the lobby is set to Diamond_5-Masters_2 70% of the time, however, please correct me if I’m wrong but D5-M2 is technically a “Wide” match right? However When you win or lose in a non-wide match it’s usually a 19-30% rank progression change. But if you are in a group and the lobby was the same it’s a 1-8% rank change??? Sooooooo why am I playing in wide lobbies like that while I’m SOLO queue if SOLO Players aren’t suppose to be in wide lobbies? But if I’m grouped up there’s no risk or reward for being in the SAME D5-M2 lobbies & I win more of those because I don’t have random one trick wonders that want to throw every match. But if I’m solo in the SAME lobbies I lose 19-30% from a loss and only gain 19-26% from wins…. How does this make any sense??

Overall? Awful. Probably my least enjoyable season in OW2.
Fear not OP, you are far from alone with many others having similar experiences
Started off catastrophic but brought it back a little bit near the end. Starting to see more familiar faces in my plat games than Im used to. Also a few forumers showed up in my games recently. About to finish a season negative for the first time in a while. Overall match quality was about the same as usual, and that is bad.
Glad i’m not alone with this ahaha…i hope its get better oof.
eh I climbed to Plat 3 in OQ this season, then fell back to Plat 5, almost into Gold
RQ is the same it’s always been, except I started in Silver and had to claw my way into Gold where I’ve always been on DPS and Support
Got into Plat 5 on Tank and haven’t played since - the role is nigh unbearable to play.
So yeah. Same poop, new pile
droping from diamond to silver and going back up several times , so experience is kinda bad tbh
Totally agree! I was doing so well this season and since the last 10 days, I’ve fallen from p3 to g2 on dps playing the same heroes and doing the same thing.
It does seem a lot harder to win this season.
i was diamond 1 on DPS and support a few months ago. Played since around 2016 I think? Anyways I’m gold now this season.
I’m sure it’s only all my fault and not anything to do with any changes blizz has made or the community changing or cheats becoming rampant. Deranking in a single season from almost masters to mid gold is totally normal

Smurfs, derankers, boosters, cheaters, throwers, stomp after stomp after stomp. That’s my literal experience of s10 ranked.
I quit playing ranked a while back. With so much BS going on, there is no reason to keep doing it, until the devs sort most of these issues out.
I honestly don’t think Blizzard is gonna bother doing anything until an actual competitor, a solid alternative to OW2 is released, because until then, there’s literally no incentive for them to spend resources on sorting out any of the issues i’ve mentioned.
I kept my rank for support and went up on DPS(70% win rate). Support didn’t feel impactful at all. Hard carried on DPS nearly every game though. No luck on tank. I didn’t try until the end of the season though. It’s bad. Way too bad to play right now.
This season was actually my first time ever playing Support (and a little DPS) in RQ comp. I don’t really have a frame of reference, which by the sound of it might be for the best. Anyway, if not for a SINGLE night of tilt-queuing, I would have a positive WR on Support by now. At least my Weaver WR is almost repaired. On him, I have just one more loss than wins. It was two, but last night I somehow managed to salvage a win on a Friday of all days. On Monday, I’ll start my final grind of the season. Actually, I’ll probably manage to salvage my WR on the entire role in the process. I’ve got this
I stand by the opinion that this is still noticeably better than QP
